Located in Grand Rapids, MI, the Addington Place at East Paris community offers gracious residential living in a home-like setting with dedicated and knowledgeable staff, available 24 hours a day, to meet the personal needs and demands of each resident. Caring for yourself or a family member should not be a stressful or overwhelming experience.
Our residents know that this is their home and we work our hardest to make it a comfortable, sociable, and inviting place to live. Seniors have access to all of the conveniences they could need or want. For those dealing with Alzheimer's and memory-related dementias, we offer a secure, memory care unit.

They have been there for my clients who need assisted living because they are not safe to be home alone.The staff at Addington Place are always there to respond quickly in emergent situations. It is wonderful that they contract with waiver and are willing to help so many people in tough situations. Kat has always been very resposive and willing to think outside of the box when I have a difficult circumstance.

This place is a train wreck, at least in the memory care facility. I know it is difficult to find a good memory care facility for a family member and I sympathize with those who are looking. I pray you find a good location for your loved one and that is why I am leaving this review. Staff is in turnstile mode, hard to keep consistency in care when there isn't consistency in staff. The biggest issue is with management, my father spent two extra days in the hospital as a social worker tried to get them to respond to see if he could return. When we spoke with the manager and indicated he was moving

My grandfather has been living here for a few months now, we needed to move him back from Florida after he had a bad fall and ended up in rehab for 3 weeks. He was not very happy about the change, but seems to be adjusting really nicely and has made friends. Sounds like his favorite part is the food and the bus trips. We visited with him last week for an old car show they had, everyone in the family enjoyed it!

We toured this campus for my grandmother a few months back for memory care. We saw building 7 and as a family came to an agreement it would be the best fit personally wise and financially. The nurse met with us while on the tour and was able to do the assessment the next day at her house. She was able to move in within the week and was put on homecare for additional support.

Our family toured this facility for my mother in law. We loved the location and how it was tucked back off of East Paris with an abundance of trees and wildlife. We saw building 5 and loved the fact that there was a hair salon, my MIL loves getting her perms, the building could use some updating, but the room we saw was a good size for her.

I recently visited this facility last week and was able to meet with the Executive Director, she informed us that she has been with Whispering Woods for over 5 years. We toured the Memory Care and were very impressed by the calm and gentle nature. I would be very happy to have my father here. Sounds like there are many improvements coming as well, looking forward to see what these are. Love the exclusivity of the buildings and nature.
