Blair-Lowther Funeral Home & Crematory has a rich history of providing families high quality service with a caring touch. This philosophy began with our founder, Ira Blair. The core values of the funeral home have also been passed down through the years to Ira's grandson, Elbert Blair Lowther, and then on to the current owner, Keith J. Adams.
Ira ran the business along with his sons: Russel J. Blair (first mayor of Perryopolis and a former state representative), Herman W. Blair (member of the Pennsylvania State Board of Funeral Directors, and former frontman for the Joe Silvo Band), H.D. Blair, and Ray C. Blair (both licensed funeral directors).

Services
This fee is included in our charges for direct cremations, immediate burials, any funeral arrangements that you choose, and forwarding or receiving remains from an out of town funeral homes. We know that losing a child is difficult. Blair-Lowther Funeral Home & Crematory feels that a family should not have to be burdened with some of the normal costs that go along with the burial of a child.
One of the first decisions made in arrangements is whether it will be a burial or cremation. Even if you decide upon a cremation, it is still important to make a decision about the permanent placement of the ashes. A permanent place gives your family, loved ones and friends a place to visit, now and in the future.
Blair-Lowther Funeral Home & Crematory understands the needs of a veteran. A flag must be requested. One flag per veteran must be requested on a form, U.S. Flag for Burial Purposes, from the V.A. Regional Office or from the U. S. Post Office. We will request your flag and have it ready for presentation.
Blair-Lowther Funeral Home & Crematory has a long-standing tradition of providing our patrons with the best service and highest quality products possible, and we make sure that our caskets are no exception. For over 100 years, we have offered quality, long-lasting caskets to families that have utilized our services.
You want the best protection available for your loved ones. Years after you select a Wilbert brand reinforced burial vault, you'll know that you made the right decision by choosing the highest level of protection. A burial vault is a lined and sealed outer receptacle that houses the casket. It protects the casket from the weight of the earth and heavy maintenance equipment that will pass over the grave.

Thank you, Mr. John Fabry, from the deepest depts of my heart.
Our family has used Blair-Lowther Funeral Home for years. Since the last passing of a family member, it has changed hands. It is now owned and operated by a Mr. John Fabry. We were a little worried about this. Not being sure of Mr. Fabry’s work or pricing, was a concern. With the recent passing of our brother, the family decided to return to Blair-Lowther Funeral Home, to discuss arrangements with Mr. Fabry. Upon meeting him, he was truly sympathetic and warm. He was genuinely compassionate, caring, friendly and professional. He

As hard as it may be to write a review for something as such these are the reviews that are necessary. We had a very young passing in our family that no one quite knew how to grasp. Mr. Fabry remained professional by simply stating the facts of the what the next few days had in store for us. We knew step by step what to expect and he was with there with us ALL every step of the way. As awful as it is to say the cost of a funeral can sometimes be a very heavy burden. Not with John, he will work with you and help to ease you during this difficult time.

Mr. Fabry was wonderful to us. We lost my daughter and when another funeral home told me they couldn't help bc I was out of work and had no money, Mr. Fabry stepped in. He did everything he could to make this hard time as easy as possible. He put together a beautiful service for us and was very understanding and patient. I will forever be grateful to him and his staff for helping me in the unbearably difficult time.

Well, this is such a sad thing to have to be rating a funeral home. However, I would love to thank them, as well as the coroner's office for helping me with the situation. I was stuck, had no knowledge of where to turn. Mr Fabry has been very kind to me and my family and also willing to work with us. Been patient with me and all my questions as I am young and have no idea about what to do and how to do it. Sadly he is in a high demand business and it is becoming more high in demand. So all we can do is be patient with one another which I have had no problem getting from him. And he will get from

This funeral home is under new management and whatever respect and decency it had left with the old owner. The director is a price gouging bully.
He tried to charge us nearly double the going rate for a cremation but we knew how much it should cost so we were able to say no and then he changed his price dramatically and acted like he was giving us a really good deal and told us not to tell anybody.
My mother told him she wanted to keep the death private. While she was in his office finalizing the death of her husband, he took a bunch of phone calls (rude) and then took one from a nosey real estate
