Services
Dr. Robertson-Howell graduated from the Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2001. He practiced for 11 years in Seattle before moving to North County San Diego. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, California Veterinary Medical Association, and the San Diego Veterinary Medical Association.
At Pacific Animal Hospital, our doctors and staff are highly trained, compassionate, and kind. We understand that pets are beloved members of the family and work with our clients to provide the best medical care possible for their animal companions. Our doctors and support staff are expected to increase their level of expertise and keep up with the continuously changing and growing knowledge base and technology in our profession.
From routine spays and neuters to complex surgical procedures, Pacific Animal Hospital offers more than 45 years of experience, advanced training, and technical expertise in veterinary surgery. Every veterinary surgery patient receives the same high standard of care, including pre-anesthetic laboratory testing, individually tailored pain management, intravenous fluids, warm air blankets, and a dedicated nurse during recovery.

A gentle alternative treatment used to minimize pain, stimulate blood flow, and enhance healing. We often combine acupuncture with traditional treatment modalities for a comprehensive approach.
In order to maintain our high standard of service, we require that payment be made at the time services are rendered. We provide estimates for all surgeries and hospitalizations. If you have not received an estimate, you are welcome to request one at any time for your expected charges. Pacific Animal Hospital is happy to accept Cash, Check, Debit, Major Credit Cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express), Scratchpay, and CareCredit.

I take my two furbabies here for both medical and grooming. They have always gone above and beyond to make sure that they are happy and healthy. They understand the parents as well and work hard to make sure that both animals and parents can get the best quality and care.

Love the staff . They made a bad situation comforting. They aren't pushy on a bunch of tests. I pretty much knew going in, my dog was not coming home. They knew the story of how this dog was dumped by the previous owner to die and that we gave him a good home for 9 months of his life. They helped me with a diabetic cat a few years ago and were super helpful. Now we are working on another one of my cats with some other issues. Just trying to say it's a great place for all services. Best if all they are open 7 days a week.

My 14 year old "difficult" dog had a great experience at Pacific Animal Hospital under the care of Dr. Travis. Pauly suffers from fear aggression and when the vet I was using retired I was panicked about changing vets. Pauly did very well at Pacific Animal Hospital and I'm thrilled to give them a top notch recommendation. The exam was thorough and his medical history was carefully reviewed. I believe he is in great hands!

I have been taking all my animals to the Banfield vet for many years and am so unhappy that they have just become so uncaring about the animals verses their corporate protocols. I have a 110 pound dog who is limping and needed to be seen right away, only to be told that they can not see him for a week and a half. My son took his dog to Pacific Animal Hospital and was extremely happy with their care. I thought I would give them a try. They were able to get my dog in right away to see why he was limping and from the moment I spoke to the staff on the phone to make the appointment and arriving at

Make this clear, they are amazing! The staff and doctors have worked with our dog since the first day we got him! We live 1-2 hours (depending on traffic) and we wouldn't mind doing it for our dog. We've gotten surgery done here as well. Amazing. Highly recommend. I wish I could pack them in my suitcase if I ever move further.
