Tri City Veterinary Clinic is proud to serve the Vista and Oceanside area for everything pet related. Our veterinary clinic and animal hospital is privately owned by Dr. Kenneth Porte, DVM, who is a licensed, experienced veterinarian. Our team is committed to educating our clients on how to keep your pets healthy year round, with good nutrition and exercise.
Dr. Porte has been practicing in California for more than 20 years. After graduating with honors from the University of California at Davis, Dr. Porte earned his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Washington State University. To further his expertise, Dr. Porte completed an internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery at Michigan State University.
Our appointment system is computerized which allows us to efficiently schedule for your pet. Our receptionists will work to accommodate appointment requests compatible with your schedule. Emergencies are accepted anytime the doctor is in and the clinic is open.

We went to Tri-City Veternary Clinic for the first time last week due to our dog having severe episodes of what we believe might be seizures.
We highly recommend this veterinary office-- Dr. Kenneth Porte is a great doctor and he has a great team.
Victor was able to get us in the office same day, right before Christmas.
Dr. Porte also called us first thing Monday morning like he said he would to go over the follow-up test results. He spent nearly 30 min on the phone with us discussing next steps.

This review is long overdue. We have 5 animals that see Dr. Porte. He is amazing. Every time one of them gets sick he finds the time to see them the same day and always seems to know what's going on and how to fix it. We've been going here for years. Every member of the staff here are incredible as well. The care they all give our pets throughout the whole process of a visit is the best ever! In the five years we've been coming here we've never encountered a problem. They're extremely fair with their pricing as well and it's clear to me that the care of the animals

I work here, so it's hardly fair for me to rate it, but Google keeps harassing me to write a review. So.... Personally, I think this place is great. The front office staff (where I work) are especially friendly and knowledgeable. Dr. Porte is an exceptional veterinarian and an okay boss. The techncians are equally knowledgeable and make your pet's experience as pleasant as possible. Many patients are excited to visit and rate us 2 paws up.🐾 The humans love us too and often bring us treats (no food is refused). This is a great veterinary hospital and one of the few privately owned practices left

I have been going to Tri city vet for almost ten years now. Never had a problem just few minor mishaps. Ever since the pandemic the quality of their service has declined. Just recently I was 6 minutes late. I tried to call and the line was busy. I made it though and they told me they would be right out. They made me wait for 26 minutes before they chose to come out. By that time I had already left. They said since I was late they gave my spot to someone else. I feel they should’ve notified me that they had bumped my appointment. So the lady lectures me on being on time and pretty me I told me

They are friendly, take good care of your pets, and won't break the bank, which is about as good as it gets for a veterinary service. The doctors and technicians are all fantastic and treat the animals and owners with a lot of kindness.
Parking is easy and plentiful, and during the pandemic, they have made appointments and prescriptions very easy by sending masked technicians out to your car to take and return your pet while you wait or as part of a drop off and pick up routine--no need to wait in a waiting room. The vet will come out and speak to you after an examination or procedure.

We have been coming here for years now ever since we moved to the area . We have had the pleasure of seeing both Veterinary Doctors Dr.Porte and Dr. Pandi and they are amazing they both really listen to your concern about your pets and they explain everything so well and the staff is just as amazing. If you are looking for a place to take your pet this is definitely the place .

I am beyond grateful to Dr. Laporte and his staff. They went above and beyond with the support they provided my husband and I when we had to say goodbye to our 16 year old dog. He provided sensible advice and options. It is almost a rarity in this day and age to find a vet who is so devoted to his job and does not try to scalp you. He will provide all options and provide you with realistic options for treatment. May God heap him and his staff with many blessings.

I take both of my kitties here and they have never gotten so much love!!! Kisses and treats from the moment we walk in. They had to board at the facility while our condo was being tented and they were treated with fuzzy blankets and if needed kitty beds. They were in good hands the whole time and came home happy kitties just like before. Dr. Porte and his staff knows how to treat animals as well as keep them comfortable and safe when they need to do an extended stay. Thank you Tri City!

Tri-City Veterinary Clinic has been a part of my family's life for decades! This is the only Vet Clinic I truly trust for my furry "children". Dr. Porte and Dr. Pandi are geniuses when it comes to pet care and diagnosis. They also have no hesitation to get on the ground with your pet and love them.

DO NOT GO TO THIS VET!!!!!!! I took my dog here to get a simple shot and asked if we could go back they said no. Ok that's fair and then I've never heard a dog scream like this before. The entire place you could hear her screaming. After it was continuing and getting louder we asked 3 more times before we walked into them strangling her with catchers pole and she was unable to breath. They were trying to muzzle her also. They riled her up so bad she POOPED HERSELF. There were also 7 people standing around the operating table. This traumatized my dog and me and David Morris. There is

I visited here for the first time based on positive Yelp reviews. My cat needed an exam. The clinic is right off of Vista Way and is easy to find. The building is older, but was moderately clean inside. I wasn't sure what vaccines I wanted to have my cat get, so the lady at the front desk said that when I went into the exam room, someone would go over information with me. When I went into the room, the vet tech/assistant took my cat out of the room to get weighed. When they brought him back they said they took a stool sample and have the vaccines drawn up. I told her that I didn't approve

Absolutely love this clinic, the doctors, secretaries, and staff! They are always able to fit me in last minute for emergencies and, due to my busy schedule, are always able to reschedule appointments within a few days! Dr. Porte sees all three of my dogs: Sam, Stella, and Princess! He has been our doctor since Sam and Stella were both 8 weeks old. As soon as we adopted Princess we brought her right in. The Vet techs always are happy to see my babies and know them all by name without looking at the file! Highly recommend the puppy plan as well! Best vet clinic in Southern California for sure.
