Our goal is to help you and your loved ones find effective ways to cope with the struggles of life. At Stribling Counseling Services, we believe that it is important to treat the whole person: emotionally, physically, socially, intellectually, and spiritually. Counseling is part of a comprehensive plan to restore or improve your overall well-being or that of your loved ones.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with more than 25 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults and families who are facing emotional and behavioral difficulties. Services
Counseling can provide the guidance and support that will help you through traumatic events and stressful periods in your life. Many of us might try to cope with our stresses by using unhealthy coping mechanisms such as alcohol or drugs, smoking, or by abusing eating habits (too much or too little).
Stribling Counseling Services uses a number of therapeutic approaches to help you through your crisis. First and foremost, we talk with you to understand where you are before starting the counseling process. Our approach is based on what will be the most effective for you as an individual. To accomplish this, we use different types of therapies.
No matter what causes it, stress and emotional challenges are part of nearly everyone's life. It can be something as "normal" as a work deadline or fixing dinner. Sometimes however, prolonged stress or suddenly stressful and/or traumatic events can lead to a wide variety of reactions that can have a negative effect on both your state of mind and your body.
Human relationships are formed and built on shared understandings, compassion, trust and values. Each person in a relationship depends on the other to both maintain, and develop, their initial sense of "togetherness". With the ordinary challenges of life, over time, many couples come to feel they have lost that original "mission statement of togetherness".
Children have unique stresses in their lives, caused not only by natural developmental phases but also by school, family difficulties, or even illness. Many problems that effect adults, can also disrupt a child's behavior. Each child comes with unique strengths and weaknesses. Our counselors tailor their approach to fit each child by using one of or a combination of therapeutic styles.

Kim Stribling is absolutely wonderful. Her compassion and care is beyond words. She has given me the peace I so desperately needed in life. She is direct and to the point, but with love and deep compassion. I can not recommend her enough, not enough stars to give her. She has helped me through the lows of life and I'm standing tall because of her. God bless her.
