Before founding the firm, Nevin Hedlund spent 15 years working with Harry Weese & Associates and Lohan Associates. With these two firms, Nevin designed and managed large historic and restoration projects. Nevin received his Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Michigan and is licensed in Illinois, Wisconsin and Indiana.

Nevin Hedlund, AIA, has designed and been the Architect of Record for a wide variety of projects in the Chicago metropolitan area and beyond, with building types including museums, religious facilities, universities and other educational facilities, institutions and corporate clients.
Nevin began his career in architecture working at Harry Weese Associates on local historic renovation projects, such as the Field Museum, Auditorium Theater and the Newberry Library.

William Gamble, AIA, joined Nevin Hedlund Architects as a principal in 2007. He specializes in building systems and enclosures, consultant coordination, code requirements, construction detailing and construction administration. His career began at HMBH Architects in Dallas, Texas, where he worked in the construction documents department.
We have worked on a variety of residential projects, including both single-family and multi-family housing. We have done renovations, restorations, additions and new construction. Our goal is always to create lasting value in our architecture. We have experience working with many municipalities in the Chicagoland area, and we have worked on many historically significant homes where we strive for a seamless blend between old and new.
