This place has good bagels and a decent selection of prepared sandwiches and spreads, but the absolute worst customer service. It's not like a one time experience, every time I have gone in recently, I would say the past year or so, the people working there are absolutely miserable. The people making sandwiches are nice and efficient, but you go to pay and it's like you are greeted with a glum person who couldn't care less for you. I would have held my review, but today she let 3 people go right ahead me because she knew them as I stood there waiting to pay. I like their bagels,

Stumbled upon this place while wandering around the city. Needed a little sumthin' sumthin' since I had skipped breakfast. I grabbed a croissant and a little apple juice and as I was paying for it, asked if the croissant came with butter. DUH. This is NYC, they charge for everything so it was 75 cents for a little tub of whipped butter. The croissant was huge, but not much like a French version with lots of layers of buttery pastry; instead it was a bit breadier. Still good.
They had a handful of seats, so it was great to sit down and enjoy my breakfast while people-watching.

Corner Cafe has become an instant favorite for me. They have so much variety (see the pictures!) for such a great value. With how expensive everything else in NY is, you seriously can't go wrong with this place.
My favorite is the poppy bagel with the lox spread and scallion cream cheese (you have to try it). All of their bagels are hand made and baked fresh. All their cream cheeses are also made in-store.
They have tofu cream cheese for those who are vegan, which I tried for the first time and I actually ended up loving it.
The service was quick and friendly, without being over-the-top.

Awful. I can't believe it was packed. I ordered a Mediterranean wrap and slice of pizza. $13. I figured for that price it must be good. No.
I took a bite of the wrap and got a mouthful of low-grade feta and sun-dried tomatoes and spinach. Just really bad tasting for someone who was expecting basically a bite of quality Greek salad.
Pizza had peppers and onions, which were not caramelized and just barely cooked. Bad taste and poorly made.
Don't bother.

I loved this place when I stayed for 2 weeks in Chelsea for work. It was my daily morning, and sometimes lunch spot. The bagels are boiled on site each and every morning, the muffins are toasted to perfection, the other baked goods taunted and tantalized as I was forced to restrict my order to my metabolic limits.
And the staff was the best part--at the end of my 2 weeks I felt as if I knew them and it was strange to leave without saying good-bye. The cook knew what i like and how I like it, and the woman at the register was practically a friend.
I'll miss it!

This cafe is great! Located 1 block from the 23rd street station in Chelsea.
I probably stop in every other day to grab a croissant or a bagel. I try to stay away from the bagels, because I'm trying to diet. Key word TRYING. But I have to say they have some of the best fresh bagels I've ever had so it's hard to stay away!
The cafe usually has a decent line but it moves quick, which is good because US New Yorkers have places to go, and have little time.
I recommend you stopping in one of these days, and trying a bagel or two! Come on! They're sooo fresh, Live a little

Nice staff, good food, clean. For some reason, though, more often than not when I order a breakfast sandwich on a toasted bagel I get to my office to find an untoasted gummy bagel. What part of "toasted" don't they understand?
Don't get me wrong, the bagels are among the best I've had in this neighborhood. They get gummy only because of the hot eggs sitting on them for about 15 minutes before I get to eat them. So annoying.

Seriously. This might sound like a joke but I am 1000000% serious.... Corner Cafe absolutely HATES putting cheese on their omelettes.
It's reached a point where I swear they must be messing with me.
Every morning I place an order for an omelette, every morning I ask them to add cheese, and every single morning they goof it up. I know they HAVE cheese.... I can see it!
All of my coworkers point and laugh at me. They ask me why I keep going back? They say "Scott... Corner Cafe clearly despises cheese... Why don't you just learn your lesson and take your business elsewhere!"

Over the last few months the quality of food and service has gone down tremendously. Half of my order is always messed up. This forces me to check everything at the counter. I order for my staff and it's just a few bagels, but they still manage to mess it up. When they do get the order correct, everything is sloppy and hard to eat because they murder the bagel in the process of putting cream cheese on it. Being in the shop is a disorganized experience, with random lines and dinning chairs in the way. I used to love this place, but it has gone way down hill over the last year.

Stumbled upon this place, noticed all seats were filled. So it may seem like a solid coffee spot.
There's a huge photograph of a hot chocolate with a chunk of a marshmallow floating in it. I ordered it. It came out to be $5+ and THAT IS VERY STEEP.
I asked why isn't there a marshmallow - and they said there is none. That was quite disturbing.
There was no follow up - no willingness to try to patronize nor attend to the customer's question/wants. Who knows, maybe p/t workers who just want to get through the day- but still. Management should really make a better effort

Great catering for an executive meeting. I called late the evening before an important meeting and Kenise was very pleasant and helpful.
Once I explained the type of event and needs she helped me select the classic sandwich and wrap platter which comes with an assortment of sandwiches and wraps along with macaroni salad, potato salad and assorted chips. (Note: if you choose to select both Mac salad and potato salad, plan for a smaller amount of each. Makes sense but didn't think about it until I saw the containers.). I also ordered a dessert platter and canned sodas.
The price is decent

This place is located by Touro College and so I've been here a few times before school, mostly for breakfast. It's not so great but it's the closest bagel shop around. Usually though I just grab a coffee off one of the carts. Today I got a slice of pizza.
They have a pizza special, 2 regular slices and a soda for $4, which I did not get because I limited myself to one slice which was $2.73. The pizza was missing a bit of flavor and def. not gonna get another one here.
When I came here in the mornings a couple of times I was disappointed because my bagel wasn't scooped out

"Untouchably bad"
Ordered some basic food on a weekday --- eggs plate, bagel, soda and coffee. And more than 75 minutes later it arrives. It wasn't even a Saturday, this was in the morning on a weekday. I mean you have to try to be this bad. I think Washington crossed the Delaware in less time.
Worst part of all --- no flavored seltzer!
I just don't get how places like this still operate in the most competitive restaurant market in the world.
Really, when there are so so soooooooooooooo many options for average deli food in NYC, why not go somewhere else?

To jump start my morning on a weekday, my dwindling interest in the painstaking slow search for an uplifting breakfast continues. The Corner Cafe literally sits on the corner of 24th Street and Sixth Avenue in Chelsea.
One banana $0.75 and one Cranberry muffin $2.00 (without sales tax charged to my bill) was a very economical but fulfilling meal. The muffin was very fresh, moist and soft. Staff is inattentive when taking orders as customers queue up, but attentive mainly to serving orders to fulfillment as one is only interested in attaining money. Plenty of bagels and prepared hot breakfast

Can't complain too much about The Corner Cafe. I was looking for a spot to grab a quick sandwich today during a late lunch and happened upon this place.
The corner space it sits on is bright, clean lots of seating, and a heck of a lot of food items to choose from. The menu is pretty large for a place that looks like a cafe/deli combo. Bagels and an assortment of cream cheeses, breakfast sandwiches and create your own omelets, make your own pasta plates, make your own salads, wraps, flat bread sandwiches, daily soups, burgers, and they even make their own pizzas here. Not a bad spot for a
