Telrad Electronics
Telrad was founded in 1972 in New Haven, Indiana by Jim Myers Sr. The business moved to the Georgetown Square shopping center in Fort Wayne in 1974, where we remain today. We have occupied 4 different store fronts in Georgetown Square, currently residing next to Fish of Stroh restaurant. The name "Telrad" comes from "television" and "radio, " which were the only products we serviced in 1972.

Back then nobody had heard of a DVD, Blu-Ray, LCD, LED, or even a cassette tape! I guess if we started new today our name would be "PlasLed" or something more modern. Times have changed, but some things haven't. Like our commitment to our customers, many of whom have been visiting us since the 1970's.

I was referred to them through my appliance extended warranty. We had multiple canceled appointments (at least 5). Still waiting for the repair to be done. Extremely unsatisfied.

Telrad called me the morning of my warranty repair date and said they need to reschedule my service appointment. I asked what date will you be here to repair my t.v. they said we will contact you in the future when we can set up another appointment. They would not set up another appointment . I have had this appointment for 6 weeks. This place is the worst. This is not the first time this place has gave me the run around. Samsung needs to find another company for warranty work. The worst of the worst.

I have had to deal with this company numerous times for warranty work on Whirlpool products. Scheduling is very difficult, they tell you to ignore the scheduled time Whirlpool assigns when you initially make the claim. Then they schedule you themselves. Then they don't show up and say you were never scheduled, of course wanting to reschedule.
Also you tell them all model info and tell them what is most likely wrong and what parts to bring (i'm know what i'm doing), then they show up two weeks after it breaks without any parts, just to determine it is exactly what you told them it was. Now wait

Telrad doesn’t even deserve one star. The customer service is terrible... they rarely answer the phone or call back when needed.
Misdiagnosis and lack of any urgency whatsoever has kept us without a TV for over 6 weeks now.
Choose another company for your repair needs. It can’t possibly get any worse than this place!

WORST repair service we've ever had
We have been waiting since March 1 for a part to come in for our dishwasher. The repairman wouldn't keep his mask on even though we had advised him of health conditions that made me really high risk for Covid. We waited 2 weeks and have been calling every week since & always just get told they are still waiting for part. This is a fairly new dishwasher still under warranty so I cant see how it could take so long to get a part.

Guy totally mansplained that the fridge french doors pop open on one side when you close the other, because of the pressure change of closing the door. I refused to believe this explanation and pushed harder, because the doors have been working normally for 4+ years.
He investigated further and determined that the door hinge was broken, and said he would order a new door.
They scheduled to return, said the door that came in was damaged and canceled. Rescheduled, never showed up. Won't return calls.
Go with someone else. They aren't professional, and they treat women poorly.

We did not choose Telrad Electronics of Fort Wayne, but rather our extended warranty company found them to be the closest repair company for our Maytag Stainless fridge. Our door was not closing properly, which meant we needed a new plastic closer ($39) for the bottom. Our repair tech, Jeremy, searched and searched and could not figure out the problem until my wife pointed out the issue. He eventually said he'd have to order a new door, which didn't make any sense. This initial visit was November 6, 2020. After approximately 6 weeks, we heard back that the door had arrived, but it was dented and

I had a service call processed through whirlpool for my dryer with this company supposed to service it. no one showed. i called and whirlpool called they supposedly never received the service call and the service guy answering the phone could care less about scheduling the repair. i cant think of a lower level of service than not even trying to provide service.
