My first shift as RN picking up extra shifts. I travel on my regular job as a trauma nurse. I called out with a horrific migraine 8 hrs prior to my shift. I saw the same shift and day posted again that I was supposed to work the next day. I emailed the scheduler and she ignored me twice. Then tried calling and she was a coward and couldn’t answer my calls or email me back. They had the audacity to send me an email terminating me and also stating that I was ineligible for rehire. Mind you, I read their policy’s and procedures and no where does it state that would happen. It actually states

Making my very own schedule & working according to my needs was phenomenal. I wasn’t obligated to weekends or holidays. That was the ONLY benefit honestly. However, I was getting cancelled sometimes half an hour before my shift (some places I would drive over 45+ minutes to get there) and have even been cancelled upon arriving to the facility I was working at that day. The lack of communication with this place is just mind blowing. The scheduler, Rebecca, is so disrespectful. There had been numerous occasions I wanted to just quit, but needed the job. So thankful I finally found something else
