My name is Matt. My partner Stephen and I have lived in Asheville for 17 years. We arrived from Boston on a cold winter's day in February of 1997. Asheville was a very different place back then; quiet to the point of somnolence and a little "down at the heel." We didn't care. We loved it, and still do to this day.
Enjoy the quiet, romantic charm of our renovated one-bedroom cottage with its custom wood paneling, elegant fixtures, central air, fully equipped gourmet kitchen, glass block bath and a host of amenities and details to make your stay both satisfying and soothing.
Spend the day taking the many sites and attractions of historic Asheville or drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway before returning to your Bittersweet haven to soak in the sunken hot tub while relaxing to the sounds of the nearby waterfall.

Comfortable: by definition a state of contented well-being. We hope this is exactly how you feel the moment you enter Bittersweet's newest accommodation. Your Asian-influenced one-bedroom retreat includes many custom amenities simply not found in a typical vacation rental.

Absolutely stunning view! The suite was beautiful, clean, and comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with breakfast items, as well as seasonings and utensils for cooking our own meals and grilling. We loved the Bose system and watching movies on the couch with a view of the Blue Ridge mountains and downtown Asheville.

Beautiful views! Staying in a cabin is way better than a hotel room. Plus, you get the mountain and downtown views of Ashville but it's only a 10 minute drive into town. The host was very accommodating and personable. The only suggestion I have is to replace the bed as it is very firm, and might be past its prime.

Oh my God this place is amazing. Matt and Stephen have created the perfect hideaway for honeymooners (which is what the wife and I came to Asheville for after our wedding in the hustle and bustle of Nashville). The space is super intimate, and the proprietors pay attention to every detail -- seriously they go above and beyond to make you feel at home. I'm pretty sure I also speak for my wife when I say this is easily the most peaceful place we've ever stayed -- vacation or otherwise. And the view from the mountainside is akin to a religious experience. Never seen anything like it. We will absolutely
