0/5 Stars. Called to schedule an over the phone diagnosis and lady tells me they’re not taking my insurance for the remainder of the year. I call my insurance and they tell me that’s not true unless Dr. Young hadn’t disclosed that information with the insurance yet (keep in mind the term for insurance isn’t over yet so there’s no way that’s true). Insurance calls Dr. Young’s office, lady tells my insurance that they’re actually not taking new patients and even goes as far as bashing my name stating that I had not shown up for my appointments (I canceled them because of work and

My mother has been a patient of Dr. Young. He hardly sees her, you see students that keep practicing by repeating the same questions each time she visits. In 2 years she has not seen Dr. Young, only the PA. When you call, they leave you on hold for long time. I would NOT recommend this place. My mother only keeps going because it is within a walking distance of her place and location is convenient.

I'd give it only one star, in that they are just there. The whole office is very inefficient and I had to change doctors after only 2 months. Every visit was 3 hours of questions and just stuff to keep me there. The labs are way off site and you have to make appointments to go there. It was just a bad experience, but I found a new doctor I really like.

If there was zero stars I would rate this place zero. My boyfriend came here in December. Was told that he doesn’t have to pay and was reassured he was fine and left. Two months later, they sent a letter to him home saying that he owes a copay of 40. Confused of why he owes 40, he calls the office to question why he owes this balance. The young lady told him that the PA marked him as a physical exam and usually physical exams are free (covered by insurance). By then later the PA realized and changed it to an office visit. It’s obviously a simple mistake but it should of been a mistake they

My introductory visit with Dr. Young was fine enough, I didn’t really care for how gruff Dr. Young was but most of the visit I was with his PA who was incredible and made up for him by virtue. Flash forward to my second visit a few months later when I really need them, I have a phone call visit with them again. I say “them” because Dr Young never even made an appearance for this appointment. I was having some escalating health issues and all I needed was a referral to a specialist. They agreed right away, although they told me to find my own specialist and just tell them and they’d write

I called Dr. Young to ask him if he could give my grandma a schedule for the 8 pills that she is taking at one time (not to mention the medicine she takes before meals), so she could take them separately. She will not listen anyone but her doctor. I had to call Dr. Young, beacuse 15 minutes afterwards of taking them, it is causing her to have intense stomach pains and she is crying herself to sleep daily. After I told him that, he started yelling at me saying she must not be following her diet etc. I couldn’t understand everything bc it sounded like a hundred year old smoker screaming at me.

One of the most unorganized and unprofessional offices I have ever been too. Please DO NOT COME HERE, I will tell you why.
I called them at 9:07 in the morning letting them know my referral for a GI specialist was approved and for them to send it over to the GI ASAP (which they should have done on their own but whatever). I was told it was going to take 30 minutes. An hour later I called my GI to confirm Donald Young's referral and they said they are still waiting on it. I called Young's office back and was told they still had not sent it but they would now. I was upset because they were cutting

I liked going to Dr Young. He always had qualified and knowledgeable PAs and I always felt i received good medical advice and care,
Some of the office staff could use some practice in follow up and taking responsibility (it was always THEM that had not faxed yet*) but we are all flawed beings and we learn.
I would still be with Dr Young if my new medicare Advantage was taken by his office.
Thank you again Dr Young for all your help and support with regards to my well being.
*you nearly got 4 stars but didnt feel right penalizing the whole staff so 5 stars it is. thanks again.

I have been a patient of Dr. Young since I moved to Houston. In my experience Dr. Young is an outstanding professional and an outstanding human being who really takes cares of his patients. His willingness to investigate and to take an extra step is what led him to diagnose an illness that could have killed me few years ago. His diagnosis led him to a referral to the right specialist/hospital that luckily has kept me going until today.
