Slocum Hall Design Group is an award-winning Architecture and Interior Design firm bringing a unique combination of inspiration, collaboration, experience and value to homeowners throughout the Boston area and the Northeast. Our architecture & design expertise includes new construction, additions, renovations, and interior design - from initial plans through project development and construction administration.
At Slocum Hall Design Group, we work with our clients' existing spaces to reconfigure and readapt them to function for their lives. Older homes often have a sufficient amount of square footage, but the allocation of space does not align with twenty-first century living. We review the space, analyze our clients' lifestyle and goals for the project, and design options so that their home can perform more efficiently.
At Slocum Hall, we work with our clients to gather all the initial information and help establish the project's goals, then review the data and create documents that can be priced and evaluated for feasibility. This includes schematic design documents and code regulatory review.
Before renovation, we provide a detailed survey of existing spaces including but not limited to dimensional information of each space; location of key features, windows and doors; and review of possible site characteristics.Once the information is collected, drawings are generated into our CADD (Computer Aided Drafting and Design) system from which feasibility and designs can progress.

Home Additions are the right design choice when you love almost everything about your home, but have simply run out of space. At Slocum Hall Design Group, we design custom home additions to suit the way you want to live. We start by understanding what it is you love about your current home, what no longer works for you and what you envision.
We complete home renovation designs of all shapes, sizes, and styles at Slocum Hall Design Group. When clients come to us with home renovation ideas, our feedback directly depends on the style of the home. We work through the client's desired results for the finished product, and we decide on a plan of action and implementation.

David is a superlative architect, but beyond that he is a joy to work with. David designed a sizable addition to our home and he did a wonderful job helping us to wade through the many decisions one must make around everything from the most technical architectural details to aesthetic questions. He realized the vision we had in mind beautifully. David’s team is also knowledgable and engaging. Lastly, he was a great professional partner and resource to our contractor and the many tradespeople on our project. I highly recommend Slocum Hall!

I used SHDG to build my ground up house and couldn't have been more pleased with the entire process and end result. David Boronkay and his team were the consummate professionals and I enjoyed working with them throughout the build process. I would highly recommend SHDG to anyone planning a home construction project (ground up or renovation) as you won't be disappointed.
