Using Revit and secondary computer programs, SGA creates everything from basic sketches to more sophisticated 3D renderings and interactive virtual tours. Working with Stop & Shop Decor Department we provided an animation walkthrough in advance of construction. The 3d animation allowed a prview of the new brand concept to the Board of Directors who were able to make changes before construction began, ultimately saving time and money for the project. Part of a major shopping center renovation, the goal was to implement a new brand concept on an existing building.
The building met LEED certification requirements and offers features such as LED fixtures controllable by the EMS system, bicycle racks to encourage alternate transportation use, high recycled material content, recaptured heat rejection from refrigeration, low flow restroom and process water fixtures, and use of landscaping to reduce heat island effect.
For over 100 years, this site housed the Tileson and Hollingsworth Paper Factory. Our design incorporated key elements that created a building with similar features of the mill such as clerestory skylights and towers clad with brick and stone. This project received a LEED Silver rating by the United Statse Green Building Council.
SGA renovated an existing retail space in the heart of Dudley Square to accommodate a 7,500 sq. The Daily Table is a not-for-profit, innovative grocery store that offers fresh produce and grocery items as well as ready-to-eat and grab-n-go prepared meals at affordable prices.
The Daily Table works with a large network of growers, supermarkets, manufacturers, and other suppliers who donate their excess, healthy food, or provide special buying opportunities.

This Asian specialty market was looking for a distinctive presence in busy Central Square, Cambridge. We were challenged to create multiple food preparation areas in an old brick and wood structure building, where waterproofing to protect the downstairs tenant was an issue. Collaborating with their interiors department we helped to select finish products and implement their design ideas to portray a brand image in thie bustling neighborhood.
