I had an appointment for an eye exam today, but I left before I was examined. As such I cannot review the doctor, but I can say that I left because I had a less-than-great feeling about the place and was uncomfortable while waiting. My gut instinct told me to leave, so I did.
My appt was at 3:00. The office is in kind of a strangely laid out, older building- no big deal, just a little hard to find the office. Pros: they were able to get me in quickly and were flexible when I needed to come in earlier.
Cons: let me start by saying I’m actually pretty confused that no reviews mention the office, and even more confused that nearly all reviews are 5 stars.
My appointment was at 9am and Dr. Prentiss’ trashes were overflowing, and the desk was a total mess of paperwork, old water bottles, febreeze, mouthwash, lotion, etc. Crumbs all over the carpet and wires dangling everywhere. I had a great visit at North Shore eye Specialists. My appointment was for an eye exam. Hello I would like an iced mocha with cream only large please and could I also have or one of your two for four bagels and cream cheese spread could I have the cream cheese and strawberry if you have it and couldn't put it on the bagels and driving The optometrist was knowledgeable and explained the procedure well. While I wasn't planning on buying new glasses I decided to after I found out VSP covered a portion of the purchase of my glasses and my flexible spending account would cover the rest. I'm very happy

Consumer beware! My husband came here for exam and glasses. Service was great for the exam, he was told glasses would be ready in one week. A week goes by, no glasses. They claim issues with his insurance - but they never called to inform him.
Fine, another week.
A week goes by, they call to say glasses are in, great! But when we arrive to pick them up we are told there are no glasses. No glasses and they can't can't tell me where they are or if they were even ordered.
We demanded a refund and took our business elsewhere. When I later called my insurance I was told not to worry, they had messed

It’s been a few years since I had an eye exam but have been seeing Dr Prentiss for many years. I got an appointment quickly and my eye exam went well. The selection of frames is extensive. Dr Prentiss is the only one that gets my prescription right. I’ve never had a problem with being unable to see or wear my glasses. It was a great experience!
