Linn County District Attorney
The office of the District Attorney of Linn County is dedicated to keeping our community safe by striving to achieve justice for those affected by crime. We endeavor to hold offenders accountable for their crimes, protect the rights of victims, and uphold the fairness and justice of our system. We will act ethically, deliberately, and in the community's best interest as we seek justice.

The primary role of the District Attorney's Office is to review allegations of criminal conduct and pursue just outcomes accordingly. Our Victim Services department exists to assist victims in navigating the criminal justice system and ensuring that their rights are protected. The Medical Examiner's Office provides investigation services for unattended or suspicious deaths in our community.

The District Attorney and his deputies are charged with seeking the truth and pursuing justice. In our continuing mission to protect the community, seek justice, and to hold offenders accountable, most of the office's efforts are directed to prosecuting cases. Prosecution includes the review of reports and conduct of described criminal activity for a decision whether criminal charges are appropriate.
The mission of the Linn County District Attorney's Victim Services Department is to protect the rights of victims and provide a platform for the victim to be heard. We work to assist in any way possible by providing community referrals, explaining the criminal justice process, attending court appearances with the victim, and by being a consistent point of contact within the District Attorney's Office.
Located in downtown Albany, Oregon, the Linn County District Attorney's Office is situated in the Willamette Valley midway between the Cascade Mountain Range and the Pacific Coast, and within an hour's drive to the Eugene, Corvallis, Salem, and Portland Metro areas.

Deputy District Attorneys in Linn County benefit from a firmly established collaborative workplace environment and enjoy a strong working relationship with the local defense consortium and the Circuit Court.The District Attorney's Office and local law enforcement have long held the support from the citizens of Linn County as demonstrated by their consistent approval of funding measures over the past thirty years.

Interns/volunteers in the Linn County DA's office server a variety of functions. Some work with victims of crime and visit the courtroom, others help process forms and others work special projects.

The employees here seem to believe in there own set of rules and enforce the law to there own standards of bias.
They are unprofesional unorganized and
Extremely overreaching of there job titles and any fictitious power therein.
Honestly it's a sad institution this office and everyone I've dealt with there should absolutely be fired or at the very least suspended..

Friend died, Albany police won't tell me anything, did open records and still nothing, then told me to ask DA & they did the same. IT'S BEEN OVER 1 & 1/2 YEARS WITH NO INTEL whatsoever!! D.A. is WORTHLESS

I have recently been charged with "Criminal Trespass 2" offense number 164.245, "Criminal Mischief 3 - Vandalism", and "Disorderly Conduct 2" offense number 166.345 by the Albany, Oregon Police Department.
What I did was kick over some trash cans to wake up the naighborhood, then entered the front lawn and took down the Thin-Blue-Line flag flying there under full light and with warning of electronic surveillance on the property. I am not UNWILLING to plee, considering an Albany Police Department member came to my home, provided me with free PTSD Counselling for an hour, and informed me that he
