Services
Plombon Funeral Service had its beginnings when Vincent Plombon arrived in Stanley in 1925 from Foley, Minnesota. He was experienced in the furniture and funeral home business. Being a father of 7 young children and 3 grown children, he was looking for a business to call his own. Vince moved his family by train and never looked back.
Choosing cremation as your final disposition actually is more complex than more people understand. There are more legal documents to obtain for instance. Cremation creates more options when it comes to time, affordability, retention of the remains, etc. Cremation has become more popular and with that, we strive to memorialize life.
Cremation - It could be the fingerprint engraved on a keepsake, or jewelry, or a lock of hair; we make sure that the memories are kept even though the body won't be seen again. The funeral service - it could be a meaningful song, a heartfelt poem or just a funny anecdote; we strive to make each moment in time meaningful and mindful of any religious beliefs.
Researching genealogy, or your family tree is a complex process that uses historical records and genetic analysis to trace back your lineage. The information you gather from different, reliable and relevant sources will help in creating conclusions as to who is in the family history. As you begin your research, the rule of thumb is starting with current family stories and documents and working backwards.

There are a few things that I was no happy about:
1. The funeral director was very quick in sending us the invoice for her funeral but failed to notify us that her ashes were there ready to be picked up.
2. After I received a response back from the email I sent him asking about her ashes, I told him it would have been nice if someone would have communicated with us that she was there. There was no apology at all which upset both my husband and myself. But nothing could have prepared me for the next email he sent stating he could ship her to us via Certified Mail as if she is now just an object
