The Do Jahn (school) is a place of learning for each student individually and as part of a group. Bethel Ji Do Kwan Tae Kwon Do provides a place where a student can develop as a martial artist then apply the same skills to every aspect of life, school, home and work. It's not just kicking and punching and it's more than physical and mental conditioning, it's about character building.
Respect, hard work, tenacity, perseverance, and patience are a few skills developed through the practice of martial arts. Martial Arts training has instilled the discipline and focus I needed to achieve goals and has also given me the patience to work with disadvantaged middle-school children in NYC.

Services
Our mission at Bethel Ji Do Kwan Tae Kwon Do is to provide traditional Korean Martial Arts in a safe and positive environment. We are here to guide and motivate our students to help reach their maximum physical and mental potential. Anyone can train here, there is no age limit. Men, women and children, ages 5 - 65+ and all levels are welcomed.
A tenet is a 'core belief' or value and in Tae Kwon-Do the tenets deal with the fundamental elements of etiquette. They should serve as a guide for all students of the art. Courtesy, or in Korean Hangul (pronounced ye-wee), refers to showing courtesy to all others in the dojang (training area or school) as well as people you may meet outside of formal Tae Kwon-Do training.
It has been a lifelong dream to open a martial arts school, and we are so grateful for your interest and support. Founder Anthony Ross is a tenured physical education teacher at The Albert Einstein Middle School in the Bronx, New York City Department of Education, for over 20 years. Master Ross has a B.S. in Psychology and a M.S. Physical Education K-12.

Master Ross has been a transformative influence on our son (and now daughter). He imbues patience, resilience, strength (in mind and body), confidence, and of course educates his students in the art and skill of Tae Kwon Do - all the while showing an obvious passion for his teaching. We tried another Martial Arts dojo in town, but didn't feel it was the right fit - Bethel TKD is definitely IT. I whole-heartedly recommend Master Ross and Bethel TKD to anyone who is thinking about this for their son, daughter, or self!

My son has been attending Bethel JiDoKwan Taekwondo for almost a year now. Master Ross has been an excellent and attentive teacher. He not only holds a 5th Dan Black belt in JiDoKwon Taekwondo, but is also a physical education teacher. Master Ross knows his craft well and understands how to teach to children. Every time I bring my son to TKD class I know he is in good hands - he has fun as he learns discipline, respect and physical fitness.
