JD Tree Service offers expert, professional tree thinning and tree trimming for commercial and residential properties. Crown cleaning, or crown reduction is done on mature trees to remove small diameter branches from the outer canopy of the tree allowing the sunlight and wind to penetrate holes in the canopy.

John and his crew did an amazing job. They removed a maple that was growing against my fence and trimmed multiple trees and laurel hedges. I especially liked the way our cherry tree was trimmed. The whole job was done very quickly and professionally and at a very reasonable cost. I will definitely use JD Tree Service in the future!

The best tree cutting service we have ever had. Top notch bar-none. We had a completely overgrown trees and bushes obstructing our lake views. John came in and selectively opened our view by beautifully pruning branches; the work was done flawlessly and meticulously. John and his crew are extremely hard working and professional. We will only use his services from now on.

Excellent assessment, recommendations and quality of work. John came by our home and assessed all the trees on our property. Some of the trees that we thought needed to be cut down, he patiently explained why they were fine and safe. Others that we did not notice that were potentially dangerous, he did. The quality of work exceeded our expectations, he not only cut down the dead and potentially dangerous trees, he also cleared out and trimmed others. Was concerned about our safety due to a few major tree tops coming out during wind storms. After looking at reviews, contacted JD Tree Service. Scheduled time with John for an evaluation and he did an amazing job evaluating our situation and helping to clarify the health of our trees . Luckily, we did not need to take any immediate action. Would feel confident using JD Tree Service had we needed to move forward with additional service.

John and his crew just left after doing a great clean up of an over hanging Alder tree (big branches over roof) and a Maple tree in our neighbor's yard that had a large limb over our driveway. They clean up after and made it look great!
John's crew chops all the limbs up on site via their chipper.
His fee was as good or slightly better than others for what is included.
All in all, it took an hour to complete.
I would highly recommend JD and his crew!
Oh yes, he happens to be an educated Arborist too!

I've met John at my property after having 3 different "so called arborists" visit. John is the ONLY certified arborist out of a total of 4 professionals who came to assess my tree situation. John was extremely knowledgeable, wasn't trying to sell me on anything, and taught me a whole lot of things during his visit here. According to John my trees are healthy. I've had "I'm almost done with my exams to be an arborist" people come over to my place who tried some FUD tactics (e.g. - you have to take down this tree and windsail the other trees on your property

Super friendly and efficient. We needed a review of all the trees in our property and he was helpful even giving guidance for how to do work ourself. Some people try to scare you away from diy work, so it's a relief to have someone who is realistic about homeowners working on their property. Haven't asked for tree or branch removal yet, but I will definitely hire him when I do.

After a recent storm one of my front yard trees almost lost one of its larger branches. The branch came away from the main trunk and eventually rested on another tree looming over my power line. I got a few estimates and JD tree came in at the most competitive rate. Two weeks later they came with a bucket truck to complete the job.The work carried out was quick and efficient and left me with a tonne of chips for the yard and logs for the fireplace. I'd totally recommend them for tree removal work and I'll be using these guys again to remove the other trees on my property when the time

I called JD Tree Service after a tree in our yard fell down. Since I recently relocated to Washington from California I was very nervous about the health of our other trees after this incident. John walked the perimeter of our property with me and examined our trees; he even educated me on the species and ecology of my trees as well as the natural history of my neighborhood. I was very relieved by John's knowledge and I felt confident of his assessment of my trees (they're very healthy). I found John to be very personable and passionate about his profession.

John helped us out with a large Western Cedar that was damaged during a windstorm a few weeks ago. He was very courteous, prompt and knowledgeable, making us feel part of the process the whole way. Unfortunately, our tree broke in such a way that most of the remaining top of the tree needed a rather technical removal and John and his team were able to do the job without any issue. He was definitely pricey but worth the cost give the technical nature of our job.

We had a few trees that were dead and needed to come down. One was a giant Sweet Gum tree in the middle of our deck. The cons I list here are not huge problems - just noticings. I would use them again in a heartbeat. The other companies I had come out had 4 and 5 stars on Yelp, but after talking with a certified arborist, found that they were incorrect about our trees. John was the only one who had it right!

We had another company come to look at the tree we wanted removed and they wouldn't do the job because it was too close to our deck and fence. John came out when he said he would to bid and to do the work. He and his assistant Megan had the tree down plus the trimming of 8 other trees of ours done and cleaned up within 2 -1/2 hrs. We highly recommend JD Tree Service. Everyone we came into contact with was so nice.
