Dr. Rupnow attended the University of Minnesota and Indiana University for her undergraduate degree. She graduated from the Indiana University School of Optometry with a Doctor of Optometry in 1994. She has been practicing in the Twin Cities since 1994.
Dr. Rupnow has traveled to Posoltega, Nicaragua, and Guanajuato, Mexico to participate in Humanitarian Eyecare Missions with Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity (VOSH) and Eye Care International.She is very involved with the Farmington community as a member of the Farmington Business Association and the Farmington Community Education Advisory Committee.

I've been coming here for about 10 years or more now and first off I'll say Dr. Rupnow is very professional and thorough. I trust her with my eyes. I continued coming here because they were conviently close and accepted my insurance. That is were the good experience ends, you get handed over to the sales people and it is like buying a car. Their sole aim is to sell you something beyond what you really need. Some are very skilled at manipulating people into buying more or trying to make you feel guilty for not following their "recommendations". They try to lure you into to buying because they are

A great experience. No doctor has ever taken the time to explain things like Dr Rupnow did. In addition, I’ve been having eye strain on my computers and she recommended a computer pair of glasses along with my everyday bifocals. I really resisted the idea of two pair of glasses. I decided to take her advice since I’d been so happy with the exam and I am so glad that I did. No more eye strain, headaches or tipping my head back to see my screen. Thank you Dr Rupnow!

The clinic was clean and staffs are very friendly. However, Dr. Pamela Ruprow was very rude. I came in today for an exam and knowing that I would need to get new glasses. It was my first time at the clinic and my vision has changed a lot since my last exam. Therefore, I had some questions. Instead of answering my questions professionally, she was very short tempered and said I was talking in circles. I was most upset that she had dilated my eyes without letting me know ahead of time that the formula stings and caused irritation. I will never come back to this place.

We have been going here forever. When we first went we loved the staff. It was a little alarming when we would come back every year and the staff was always changing, to me I felt they did not like working there. The Dr's bedside manner really lacs. My kids felt like they were getting scolded and not just talked to. I let it go because it was just once a year. When covid hit I hit my breaking point. I am all for being safe but for me they were more worried and corrected you if your mask was not perfectly fit. They spent more time discussing covid code then looking at our eyes. We were mask shamed

Dr. Rupnow is fantastic- she is very thorough- easy to talk to- takes time to answer all my questions- my 10 year old son loves to talk..she is patient and kind. We are always greeted with smiles by all the… staff- AND they have the MOST FABULOUS frames !!! Finding the perfect pair is so fun! Recently Garrett help me pick out 2 pairs. he showed me several frames that fit my eyes and personality, it did not take long to decide! I highly recommend Family Vision Clinic!

These guys are great. I had to try a million different kinds of contacts to get ones that work for me and they were so patient and helpful. They also saw me right away when I had an issue with my eye. Also, if you hate finding glasses like I do, they actually picked pairs out for me to try on and I was able to find two I love really quickly which has never happened in 25 years of wearing glasses. Finally, they were incredibly patient with my two young kids (who are 3 and 5), who were being pretty antsy for their exams. Thank you guys for all of your great work!

The women who work in the office are all incredible! Helpful, kind, and professional. :) I love the "family" feel of their clinic-- it's small and guarantees that you'll get 1:1 attention while there.
Amy, the clinic manager, followed up with me via phone after my first visit as she knew the clinic was short staffed the night I was there. I assured her that I had a wonderful experience and felt completely taken care of -- no problems whatsoever. When I went in to pick up my new glasses, Amy herself assisted me and adjusted them to fit just right.

The first experience I had with this business was in 2014 when I had a cataract taken care of in my left eye. It was not a great experience but I am not a regular when it comes to eye exams. Well back then I was advised that my right eye also had a cataract forming but would not need immediate surgery. Therefore after my first surgery and new reading glasses everything was ok. Lately my right eye seems to have gotten worse and everything out of that eye is double vision and blurry. So I figure I better make an appointment as I likely need to have the cataract taken care of. Well I get there

My first impression was great; I was able to see the Optometrist right away and she was very knowledgeable, helpful, and showed concern for my nearsightedness. Things started to change shortly thereafter. I purchased sunglasses that ended up being too curved for high index lenses, so they used "normal" lenses that were very thick. I approved this though, but had I known high index wouldn't have worked in the first place, I would have looked past the glasses.
I wanted to start wearing contacts again and paid for a contact lens fitting; and again, the Optometrist was very helpful
