First time dining at Ghini’s cafe and will definitely return. There is outdoor dining however it was a little chilly so we eat inside where the atmosphere is warm and lively the staff is super friendly and helpful. The posole was very warming and not a thick stew but more like a Provençal vegetable soup combined with posole and it packed some heat. We both had the burger du Jour which was Cooked perfectly to our liking and was smothered in an amazing mushroom gravy and served on a very good Soft roll.

Ghini’s is a such a gem!! Everything on the menu is soooo good and they always have these amazing seasonal specials. The other day I got the bacon hot honey French toast and it was freaking amazing. I don’t know how long they’ll have it but get it while it’s hot!!! 10/10 5 stars

This was a good experience overall! A lovely place to go with a friend for brunch with an interesting menu and good food. It was rather overpriced for a less than overwhelming product. If the prices were lower or the food was something that made you think it was exceptional i would understand but i think for breakfast the atmosphere is nice, the menu is interesting, but if you want amazing food at the right price there is likely a better restaurant nearby for that.

The best Croquet Madame and Provencial eggs we have ever had. We stumbled on this place searching for a quick bite bit our love of France drew is in.

This local cafe unassuming, friendly, and inviting. The food is authentic and delicious. Give them a try you won't be dissatisfied.

This place is a nice little gem in Tucson. I definitely got the French/European feel while being here. I got avocado toast which was delicious, the "toast" part of it was nice and fluffy but also crispy.
They have a nice selection of items as well as coffee items as well.
Definitely worth a visit!

The food and service were excellent , prices were reasonable , the only bummer was the bakery was closed and they had no baguettes for sale . Odd for a weekend day , but I guess everyone needs a day off . I'm glad I finally tried it . It didn't disappoint.

Okay on paper the Marseillaise omelette (Spanish anchovies, garlic, and tomatoes) might not be front and center to the average person, nevertheless the omelette was quite tasty and the sourdough toast with fresh salad (good bit of frisée) with vinaigrette were a great combo and hit the spot.

One of the best unknown places to eat in Tucson!!! Great for breakfast, lunch or brunch. Check out their menu! The first time I had their ham, spinach, and swiss crepe. It was fantastic. The second time I had their Eggs Provencal. Another great meal! Now I want to try everything on the menu.
Service is great even though they are busy; both times I was there they were busy. You can dine outside under the patio or at a table inside (most seem to prefer the outside tables - I tried both). And, aside from the restaurant, they have a French bakery with many delicious choices inside next to the restaurant

The food was amazing!! I went for breakfast with a large group of friends and they were very accommodating. The staff was super friendly. And I really enjoyed that the menu had far more than your traditional items. The mimosas were delish and the caramel coffee was perfect. We sat outside and the only negative was the swarm of flies. It made it difficult to enjoy the experience. I don’t mean one or two, there were so many. I would love it if there was some sort of fan or something to help reduce the amount.

Absolutely love this place. Wonderful food, great service. (We had one visit where service was slow, but there had been a family emergency, and the short-handed staff apologized profusely.) My husband and I have never had any food that we didn't think was amazing; as I frequently tell the staff, I think the chef could take a paper bag and turn it into ambrosia. Tuesday is now "we're going to Ghini's for lunch, right?" in this household. (Thanks to Dee, Sevena -did I spell that right? - and Matthew for excellent service on our most recent visit.)
Also, kudos to Gabby

Let me say "The food is just amazing". It was our first time there I ordered a "Croque Mama with hash brown" the hash brown by itself was like I CAN EAT THIS ALL DAY LONG! and the Croque was even better than that.
My wife got "Ghini's Signature Dish" it was simple and DELICIOUS.
And let me tell you about the Mimosa it was made with fresh squeezed orange juice and I loved it..
Loved everything about the place and would give them a full five star if the service was better, I don't know if it was toward the end of their shift or what but no one had a smile and after we ordered it took really long

Ghini' s French Caffe Is literally my new to me favorite brunch spot in town. This is my second visit there and every time my service has been amazing today with Dee and Lexi it was extraordinary. Do you went above and beyond for us I wish there was a Dee and every single restaurant. I didn't feel like my food took a long time and even after we paid our bill we stayed and chatted and we never felt like we had to leave there was never this like a rush to get us out of there we got to sit there and enjoy yourselves. My chocolate raspberry mocha latte was amazing not only in taste but also

They made us wait for a long time even though the table was vacant. The meal was beautiful, but not much flavor. The hashbrowns were too oily to eat. Waitress was nice and efficient, the hostess, not so much.

I am usually one to give an establishment two visits before commenting, this is an exception. Bad Bad Bad. From no clear entry and sign up for a wait list, to waiting for 30 minutes for a table.inside that was available when we signed in.
Now for the service, ill managed comes to mind. Why order a beverage through one person, food through another, and served by yet another and a busboy who is trying keep up. When asked how it was, we informed the food was bland and sub par they offered to re make the items but why bother if you can't make eggs right the first time why bother to wait another 40

A friend invited me and another friend to lunch at Ghini's. She had eaten there before and liked it, so off we went for lunch.
We got there and there was a sign on the door that masks were required. After scrambling to find masks, we entered. There was a sign in sheet that stated after signing in, we had to wait outside to be seated. In this heat? Luckily we were approached to be seated as I signed in. The place is pleasant looking and 80 percent of the tables were filled. We were waited on immediately by a server (no name tag) who was knowledgeable and pleasant.
I ordered the Croque

My top brunch spot in Tucson!

I will agree with other reviewers that this is not traditional French food, but what they do have is great brunch food with French roots.

They have a few different kinds of mimosa's to choose from as well. Service is good, and the dishes are tasty. (At least the brunch type dishes)

Bah non. This is not French food. Not to toot my own horn, but I'm a Francophile and lived in Paris for a year. Any French person would be appalled the stuff being served is advertised as their cuisine.

The crepes were the oddest crepes I have ever seen, rolled like enchiladas, as opposed to served in the traditional, flat triangular or rectangular shape. The French toast with strawberry coulis was very unremarkable and reminded me of something you can get at Denny's. The presentation of both dishes were not easy on the eyes.

Perhaps the lunch options are better, but the breakfast

We dine there again today! I tried the French toast with eggs and bacon, the bacon was cooked as I asked an the egg scrambled! My French toast was amazing, very thick cut of bread (two slices) I had to take it home. I tried the lavender lemonade which was awesome! Now for the issue that we had trying to eat our meal, the flies were just relentless!! we even moved to another table and that still didn't help. As much as I enjoy this restaurants food, I don't believe I will come back until they solve that issue or at least try to do something about it! I just can't imagine what the

Had the strawberry crepes and a strawberry mimosa. The food was OK, didn't make me want to run back ASAP, but it was not disappointing.
Breakfast potatoes were good!
Service left a bit to be desired - spent over an hour sitting on the patio waiting for a mimosa and crepe.

Once again, the food was AMAZING. I ordered the same thing and loved it even more this time. I also realized they have a large list of mimosas! We order a carafe and I must say it was the perfect balance of champagne, OJ, and pineapple. There were also options to add liquor. This time around the bakery was open and my god, everything looked incredible (and tasted as such). The service was significantly better during this visit and well worth the drive for me. Constant refills, napkins, condiments, and all. My previous review was honest to my experience however, the food was so good I had to go

Brunch Friday. We shared Eggs Provençal with hash browns and rye toast, Avocado toast, and a couple Americanos. Everything was enjoyable!

We sat on the patio and COVID standards were very high end. Thanks for that.

I understand Ghini's is a local legend and leads the effort to help the restaurant community deal with the effects of COVID. Excellent!

Keep up the good work!

My son and I visited previously and picked up some bakery items. I'm glad I waited to do a review until I'd had a meal. My son enjoyed his french toast while my crepes and biscuits and gravy were perfection! Everything was delicious! This is a perfect breakfast and I'm looking forward to visiting again.

Came here on Sunday for breakfast. I had the spinach and ham crepe. Lovely. Hash browns cooked perfect. Bechamel sauce, yum. Velvet had the same without the ham. She loved it also. Bloody Mary carafe was also just right.
