Eric Batterton is a doctor of dental surgery in Delaware, Ohio with more than twenty years of experience. His general practice includes cosmetic and pediatric dentistry. In 2001, Eric established the locally owned dental practice, Eric Batterton DDS. He values being an integral part of the Delaware, Ohio community and enjoys family time and running.

My decision to enter the dental field was not an easy one because I've always been a little afraid of the dentist. However, I wanted to face my fears and I enjoy helping people, so after a lot of thought I decided to enroll in a dental assisting program. I was born in Roswell, New Mexico but my father was in the Marine Corps so I grew up in a lot of places.
I've been employed for Dr. Batterton almost 16 years. I enjoy my job, it's amazing to look back through the years at the children we have watched grow up to become young adults. I'm originally from Paintsville, Kentucky, where I received my high school diploma. I'm blessed to have 1 son that was born on my 20th birthday; he resides in Cardington, Ohio.
I received my first opportunity to work in a dental office when I was 19, by my sister who was a regional manager for a dental franchise. I had assumed it would just be a job to get me through until I was done with college. However, I immediately found joy in the personal interactions with patients and looked forward to learning more from a business and clinical perspective.
Kelly was inspired by her own orthodontist as a child. She took a position in a dental office at the age of eighteen which confirmed that dentistry was the path for her. The people, the smiles, the opportunity to help others ignited a passion that has stayed with her to this day. Kelly pursued her field by first attending the Akron Medical Dental Institute where she obtained her CDA.
