Even if you don't live in this area, it's worth the drive! Great people who are knowlegable, reasonable and very helpful! It's refreshing to do business with a company where they listen to your needs, and go out of their way to try to meet them. I'm a fan of being treated like a person and not just a source of profit. :)

This was my first time to the eye Dr in a few years and I must say that I was delighted. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The Dr was very knowledgeable and personable, moreso than any other place I'd ever been. I didn't have to wait at all and in fact was seen slightly early. I would highly recommend Alachua Family Eye Care. Will definitely be going back!!

My wife and I both went to see Dr. Avondo for our annual eye exam. We both believe this to be the most thorough eye exam we have ever received. The staff was friendly and professional. I also had the opportunity to utilize the services of the Optician. Sabal was very helpful in assisting with picking out the correct frames and has been fantastic in getting my new glass to fit correctly. I would highly recommend for any of your future needs for both eye care and glasses.

Alachua Family Eye Care did a great job with my eye examination and glasses selection. I had visited my long-time optometrist (at a different office) for a minor emergency repair of my glasses and they told me that they could not fix my glasses - I would need to buy a new pair. I have spent thousands of dollars on glasses over the years at this office and I was insulted. I came to Alachua Family Eye Care and they fixed the glasses... and for free! I've worn glasses since I was 4. Being highly myopic, I had been limited to contact lenses since my teens. Now at age 44, Alachua Family Eye Care was able to craft a very tasteful set of eye glass lenses and fitted them into GORGEOUS Nine West frames - I'm stoked!!! They look amazing and my eyesight is crystal clear with progressive lens technology. I can give my eyes a rest from contacts whenever I want and not be limited to being legally blind while doing so.

I went for an eye exam due to recent trouble seeing at a distance. I was nervous since I had not had one done since I was a young child. But I was immediately put at ease by the staff at the front desk. I was taken care of in a timely manner. Dr. Avonda answered all my questions and was pleasant and did a thorough eye exam. Debbie did a great job helping to pick out my first pair of eyeglasses, and was very patient and informative. The glasses came in on the estimated date, and pickup was quick. My prescription glasses are perfect and I’m 3 months in with no problems with them. I highly recommend
