The name is inspired by the stylish St. James Place in London known for high-end antique markets and boundary-pushing galleries. The word "Place" evokes a sense of community, and we are committed to serving as a gathering space where we host art openings and guest speakers with expertise on a wide variety of topics related to design and decor.

We chose the pineapple as our logo because pineapples represents hospitality, warmth and friendship. Our shop is a welcoming place where customers enjoy shopping for beautiful and functional decorative lighting and lampshades in every shape, color and size imaginable. We also feature a well curated collection of unique home decor, small furnishings, mirrors, and original art by local artists to complete any well-designed space.
Services
We custom fit shades to your existing lamp or new purchase to achieve the perfect proportions for the lamp and the space in which it will be placed. Bringing your lamp to the store to be fitted for a shade provides an opportunity to select from our extensive selection of 2,000 shades.

We can update an outdated lamp by changing the lamp base of which we have several varieties in stock including crystal, acrylic, gold leaf and wood which can be painted or stained to your preference. For example, putting an acrylic base on a vintage lamp gives a fresh look to a classic piece. We perform all electrical repairs to lamps, chandeliers, and sconces including changing sockets, and rewiring.

Owner Nicole showed me different options for table lamps, shades, history of the design of the lamp I was interested in purchasing. Let me take item on approval to see how it worked in my home. Love their choices. So beautiful. Also, found some wall art by a local artist.

After searching for a lamp repair shop, I came upon St. James Lamps. I located them on the Internet They are located on NW Military Drive, not too far from where I live. In a nutshell, they surpassed my expectations! They were friendly and professional, and detail-oriented. They covered the bases when explaining the options, how long it would take for the repair, etc. They completely re-wired my old kitchen hanging lamp, and did a wonderful job of sorting out the complicated wiring, not an easy job! Even though they ran into extra charges due to the bad wiring the lamp had, they still finished

I would give 0 stars if that were an option, would be more appropriate for the service I received, which was 0. Walked in with a large lamp that needed repair. Stood in the store while two employees clearly saw me but didn't acknowledge my presence. One employee was only a few yards away, with a customer, and could have easily said "someone will be with you in a minute" or something similar, but said nothing. The other employee was not with a customer, was moving display items on a table, and also saw but ignored me. After standing there 5 minutes, feeling completely invisible, I walked out. Will
