For our custom-designed molded pulp products, we use advanced 3D computer aided design (CAD) systems which enable us to produce precise visual images of molds and the parts produced by the mold.

Molded Pulp Engineering all began when the company's owner, Walter Maguire, was attending a packaging trade show overseas. Walter became extremely interested in molded pulp packaging for many reasons. With an environmental consciousness and over forty years of experience in the packaging world, he created a new company called Molded Pulp Engineering (MPE).

The medical applications of molded pulp include a variety of sustainable & biodegradable packing solutions and products. MPE has the ability to manufacture thermoformed molded pulp and laminate it with bioplastic film if necessary. These parts can meet temperatures from -8 F to 350F. Our single-use wash basins, kidney-shaped bowls and coated clamshells can also be used in an autoclave.
Coated molded fiber is static neutral and is an ideal packaging material for shipping electronic components to prevent part damage and static electricity When shipping or protecting electronic parts, it is important to ensure that the parts are protected from scratches that can occur with other, traditional packaging.
