Chapter 7 bankruptcy effectively "discharges" most of a person's or business's past debts, such as credit card balances and other bills. Although many people believe that filing for Chapter 7 will wipe out all of their debts, only eligible forms of debt can be discharged. To find out if Chapter 7 bankruptcy is the right choice for you, contact Jimmy E. McElroy & Associates in Memphis.
Chapter 13 bankruptcy allows you to set up an affordable plan for repaying a portion of your debt. The payment plan is customized to your unique situation. It is affordable because you pay your living expenses first, then any remaining income is divided among your creditors. If you have a regular source of income, you will most likely qualify for Chapter 13 bankruptcy.
Bankruptcy is a powerful avenue to a better financial future. While there may be other "debt settlement" companies out there, bankruptcy is the only method that is backed by the United States federal government. At Jimmy E. McElroy & Associates, we can help you get out of debt and prevent its negative effects through bankruptcy.

MR McElroy is such a nice guy , the ladies who work the front desk are super professional and they definitely aren’t judgemental here.I came in very apprehensive but the entire staff makes you comfortable and make sure they are able to answer all of your questions. Thanks for helping me when I felt like I was at my lowest point I’m truly grateful for all of your hard work . If anyone is hesitant about visiting this office please don’t be!

The service I received from this law firm was terrible. I filed for wage earner bankruptcy. I was quoted one amount at the free consultation that I would pay under bankruptcy, but when it was time to sign papers I was given another amount and when I went to court I was given another amount and after filing it has changed 3 more times and each time it is more and more. I filed because I got into a bad situation and needed help like the commercial says but filing is the WORST THING I could have done I don't have enough money to simply buy food. McElroy and his associates has never explained

Know before you pay your money, the receptionist doesn’t make you aware that if you don’t hire the attorney you only get so much of your refund back. I received free consultation and paid for a credit report, that I could’ve printed off from home and a counseling session that was did online. I recommend finding yourself another lawyer. I should’ve went with my first mind and went back to my other lawyer. He was farther distance than this lawyer, he worked our case very well. Time wouldn’t allow me to go that distance, I finally went to see him and he explained everything and didn’t

The paper processing is too long to purchase a car, and there are people working there that seem like they do not know what they are doing and/or have too much on their to do list. I didn't feel like they made my situation a priority. I feel like when you visit this office this your last resort, so you want to feel like they care. I didn't feel they cared!!

They have helped me with my situation. The staff is great. They actually help you with questions and don't make you feel like you're beneath them. When you go before Mr. McElroy make it short and sweet. Have all your information and documentation when you get there. Listen and do everything they say. I advise anyone before doing bankruptcy, do your homework. Know what you are getting yourself into.

The staff is friendly and helpful. But a lot of things weren’t explained in detail and when asked about it then I got the run around. My payments total almost 700 a month and when I asked if they could be lowered due to it causing a hardship they say they can’t do anything. Went to speak to Mr. McElroy and he got disrespectful asking questions about my child’s father paying my bills. I hate I went through with this firm because I’ve had issues since day 1 with them

I've been with Jimmy McElroy for 2years now. I have been pleased with the care and service that I have received with my Bankruptcy case. The staff members sit you down listen to your concerns and then tell you they can help you. And you really do get to sit down with Mr McElroy and go over your case. Walk ins are always welcome. Try them out I promise you will not be disappointed.
