This cute restaurant is in the Paseo de San Antonio near the light rail station close to SJSU. The inside has simple country French style decor, with items on chalkboards. I tried the Moon Over Sweden crepe, which has chicken, brandy and Parmesan cheese --a savory crepe. The crepe is folded and has nice chunks of white meat chicken. You can actually taste the brandy in the sauce, and the cheese added to the savory taste. I didn't have coffee but that would make it a meal. Outdoor seating is available. It doesn't seem as busy as some of the other places nearby.

I was running some errands in downtown San Jose and wanted to pick up some coffee before I headed home. I decided on Philz and while I was walking by, I noticed a sign for fresh, authentic European pastries here, so I had to stop by.
I saw that they had offered some yummy lunch options, but I just wanted to try some pastries first. I took a look at their baked good section and decided to get a slice of their Oreo cheesecake, chocolate walnut loaf, and the earl grey loaf ($14 total).
The Oreo cheesecake was really light in flavor. I didn't taste much of the Oreo, despite a full cookie and

Very pleasantly surprised to find a freshly baked pastry shop still active in downtown San Jose! I absolutely melt over a good almond croissant and theirs is no exception. Fully covered with slivered almonds and I'm pretty sure there was a bit of chocolate inside, too. With a cup of coffee you will be in heaven. Next time I will try to get there well before 20 minutes before close and check out the rest of their selection! There was outdoor seating in the alleyway where you could get some fresh air, too. *PS, nice to see a place with a grammatically correct foreign name! Feminine adjectives

I was looking for a place to get a breakfast sandwich and found this place on yelp. I ordered the egg ham and cheese croissant sandwich. I also got the cookies n cream cake. I thought it as cheesecake. The cookies n cream cake wasn't very good. The sandwich had hard boiled eggs with delicious ham. The ham was very flavorful!

Let me just start by saying I work in the Paseo and this is the worst place to go to! If you're in a rush, forget about it, 25 min to make a sandwich?!? Oh and you want fresh pastries, Not gonna happen, pastries are left there all week, taste like refrigerator! Stay as far away from this place as possible, the girls working there should all be fired and rehire someone who actually wants to work!!

The staff did know the coffee they were serving when asked (even though the bags were behind them) and made two terrible coffee beverages… the cappuccino they poured unsteamed/frothed milk into and the americano over watered and did not ask or offer milk …completely untrained and disappointing …get your coffee elsewhere when you need it

Have been coming here for 10 years now. It's Been renovated recently and looks gorgeous. Still the same amazing bakery, food and coffee!! This is a hidden gem in downtown San Jose. People walking over to the Philz next door, you are missing out!! All their bakery product is yum! We love the quiches the most

The name and ambience of the shop gives the impression of a nice brunchery, the prices on the surface seem reasonable, and the service is very polite.
I don’t know about the other dishes, my companion said he enjoyed the queiche, although it was not the best. The crepe of Sweden was my order and I have a few comments. The meal was very obviously premade and reheated, possibly previously frozen, the chicken was very dry and had no flavor, the mushroom filling was flavorful but not nearly enough of it, and the exterior sauce was very lite, so they were not able to improve where the chicken was

State they are a "European pastry cafe" What kind of European? More like failed cultural appropriation of a cute name. Pastries are individually packaged in plastic. Menu boards are electronic screens. There isn't an ounce of European charm. I can't comment on food or beverage quality since I left before ordering. I was looking for the experience the name was implying I would get. It's pretty standard for San Jose. : (. To the owner, maybe take a look at crema, another culturally appropriating cafe that at least has you thinking you're in the right place for the name

Visiting the area and found La Lune Sucree on Yelp and so glad I did. We ordered quiches it was buttery, airy like croissants crust, a savory crepe enough to satisfy a hungry teenage boy and almond croissants was so buttery with enough filling. I would have given them a 5 rating but the only thing is that the restaurant could have called me about the missing Orange Juices so I could have substitute it. Overall the food was great. I would definitely come here again!

In A Nutshell:
-La Lune Sucree aka The Sweet Moon is a great place to grab some breakfast.
-The little outdoor patio parallel to the Paseo de San Antonio makes for a picture perfect scene reminiscent of your favorite "arrondissement" in Paris.
-Now to the food, if you like crepes there are plenty of choices here.
-Their avocado toast is delicious along w/ their Breakfast Bendict.
-They also love dogs here & while we were dining they offered to give our dog some chicken..how awesome is that!
Overall, this a nice taste of France right here in DTSJ (Downtown San Jose)!

Came in here after going to Philz and looked around and out of the six deserts and pastries they had I decided to get a vanilla bean scone.
Tasted great the dough was very dense and tasted sweet. You can also use your yelp checkin for a free scone!
This place also had food and drinks, not much variety for the pastries though so not worth a visit for them alone.

I was very disappointed in my salmon sandwich. The dill was old and gross and should have never been placed on a sandwich that was sold to a customer.
Then the salmon was not fresh, had dark spots and was so chewy I couldn't even eat it. Had to remove all of it and throw it away. It was poor quality salmon and way too old to have been served.
Spent $13 on an inedible sandwich

A bit pricey for the portions, but there's no doubt that everything I ordered was tasty.
I ordered a German Musli, 2 crepes, and an Italian Prosciutto sandwich. Everything tasted great and I waited about 5 minutes. Also I got a scone for free with a Yelp check-in.
This is a really cute place to study, catch up with friends, or just chill in between classes. It has a pretty quiet atmosphere. It's right next to SJSU campus, so expect lots of college students on the San Antonio Walkway.
Overall the cashier was friendly and the atmosphere is pretty laid back. I'll probably be back

I had a quiche craving, so I had to try this place out. The interior was overwhelmingly warm, so my friend and I had to sit outside. The staff were very welcoming and they brought the food to us. The pastries all looked delicious, but I came to try the quiche.
The quiche was absolutely delicious. It was nice and warm while the crust was flaky. Every bite was delicious and the ratio of ham and mushroom to egg was perfect 5/5.
The mocha is definitely on the sweet side and the latte was standard
The Bavarian quiche is the way to go. Definitely coming back soon just for the quiche!!!

I am still confused what type of restaurant/cafe this is after a very disappointing visit. I latte tasted ok, but looked like a soupy mess. The worst part is the lack of public restrooms. A restaurant/cafe/pastry shop (or whatever this establishment is), that has a menu devoted to coffee drinks, but does not have the capacity to accommodate a patron restroom despite all of the seating provided, should reconsider its business choices. I also couldn't get the wifi to connect and had to use Philz next door.

I previously went here with my cousin and sister for lunch and I remember that the service was super slow. I didn't go back after that, but I was just in the area for philz. We were sitting nearby and we smelled something coming from this place. We had to find out what it was bc it smelled delicious.
It was the croissant! Once we found out, we ordered it and were pleasantly surprised. Omg, it was warm, buttery, and flaky. It was SO good. I also tried the almond croissant and it was even better. Their croissants have changed me and I will definitely come back for more!
