Bijan Abachizadeh and his family have been creating elegant and delicious pastries, cakes, and croissants. Bijan started out with a little bakery known as "Santa Teresa Bakery" in Southwest San Jose. After 5 years Bijan opened a new location in West San Jose known as "Bijan Bakery & Cafe." His creations continue to grow and remain both a delight to look at and delicious as ever.

In fact, 98% of Bijan's bakery wonders are made of butter. He is also very proud in the fact that the bakery uses No perservatives and No trans fats!

A wedding is a very special and memorable event deserving careful planning. We here at Bijan Bakery & Cafe are aware of this and want to spend time with you on planning and designing your wedding cake. During the time of your appointment we have albums full of our designs that you can browse through, but you are in no way limited to those.
Our elegant pastries are light, not too rich, and made with top quality ingredients. Not only are they a delight to the eyes, but they are a delicacy for the pallet. Things never get old because we like to introduce new flavors and decorations. There is a large assortment of pastries which are sure to satisfy the pickiest of pallets.

Wow. worst service i’ve encountered in a while. it seems like they’re short-staffed, and that is understandably frustrating and difficult, but not an excuse to be so rude. we weren’t sure whether we were at the right counter for coffee or if we’d need a ticket for it, and when we asked questions, they either didn’t answer, or their answers were flat and very clearly annoyed/exasperated. the pastry we got was good. my chai latte was the blandest i’ve ever had. definitely don’t recommend

I would give Kim and her team one thousand stars if I could. They are not only professional but they are also kind and immensely caring. They treat their customers like their friends and put their heart and soul into the art of making cakes that look and taste incredible.
Kim is a superstar. We will be frequenting Bijan and it will be an awesome place for us to check out more varieties of cakes for parties w friends and family!

I was expecting really good bakery items from this place especially looking at the crowd there. We waited for almost 20-30 mins for our number to be called. The pastries were pretty basic and were not as fresh as I would expect them to be. They seemed refrigerated more than they needed to be. The coffee was okay!

Great location. You need to fond a parking spot though. Same as any Bojan in the Bay Area. I feel it a bit bigger and spacious where you can take a great coffee with a great croissant 🥐 it a good tea. We usually request a birthday 🎂 cakes here because they do it very well. We ordered one I hope it will be good as we liked. I highly recommend this place.

My parents had a celebration for their 50th Wedding Anniversary this past weekend. Approximately 3 weeks prior to the event, my sister & I had gone to the bakery to sample a few flavors of their cakes. We immediately fell in love with 3 of their mousse cakes: guava, mango & chocolate. We had initially planned to order a multi-tiered cake as requested by our mother however it was not within our price range. I live in Canada but my family is in California. Today is my grandmother's 91st birthday and I am lucky to be able to order a cake to have delivered to her on her 91st birthday. My dad sent me a picture of the black forest cake which is gorgeous and my family said it was delicious. I highly recommend Bijan Bakery & Cafe. Not only did they provide a wonderful cake, they also had candles as well. Thank you so very much for making this day very special for my grandmother. She said she will be expecting a bigger cake next year!

We bought an 8 inch burnt almond cake today and it was superb. The almond toppings were crisp and light. The buttercream was delicate, not too sweet, very light. And the cake sponge was perfectly airy in the mouth, not too sweet, amazingly soft. It was expensive but worth every dollar. Simply excellent cake.

I must have driven this street a million times and never knew I passed this awesome bakery. Once you walk through the door, you'll be amazed at how many yummy and beautiful desserts are on display! There's a section of baked goods, tarts, mousse, and gorgeous cakes, you name it, they have it!

From the day I contacted them Kim was amazing. So helpful, so generous with every single step. From the tasting to communicating to whatever it maybe that we asked for.

Kim from Bijan bakery is amazing! I had contacted her about 6 months prior to my wedding, which was in June of 2020, to see if she would be able to make me and my husband a cake. We had discussed flavors and pricing and everything was perfect.
A week before the wedding my husband and I came in and did a tasting. Cash and card accepted. They are Covid ready with workers wearing masks and customers required to wear masks. They are located on the corner of entrance to the Lion Market plaza and offer a lot of plaza parking.
I went in on a weekend evening before closing. They weren't too busy this time around so I didn't need to take a number. (Usually you need to take a number since they are packed!) I got several slices of cakes: guava, pistachio, black forest, princess, plus some cookies.
Unfortunately I feel like the desserts are not as good as they used to be, or at least not as good as others

I was looking around for a bakery that made good red velvet cake. Apparently it's hard to find around here. After reading several reviews I ended up picking this place. I have ordered cakes and pastries from here and their sister location in the past but I have never had their red velvet. I ordered the cake 3 days before pickup date. I asked them to write on it. I walked in today and the cake was ready. They showed me the cake and it was beautiful. I was in and out under 3 minutes. Great fast service. Their cakes and other pastries are beautiful.
