Shelly Walrath is a two-time World Champion, mom, and instructor of her own martial arts academy. With over 33 years of martial arts experience and 27 years teaching experience, she balances patience with firm discipline when teaching children. At New Vision Martial Arts, you will learn a culmination of many martial arts styles with an emphasis on Korean unarmed self-defense, also known as TaeKwonDo.
The curriculum includes traditional basics as well as modern competition skills, practical self-defense, and weaponry. Students will learn about important values each month, such as Courtesy, Integrity, Perseverance, Indomitable Spirit, and Self Control. NVMA does not teach your child "how to fight", but gives them the self-esteem needed to "know how NOT to fight".

My children Shayna and Aaron love Shelly's Little Dragon class at Brookfield Christian School. The class is not only a great way for them to have fun and get exercise, but also instills in them self discipline, respect and integrity. Two future black belts in the making, thanks to Shelly at New Vision Martial Arts!"
