Services
All rates and terms are based on an evaluation of each member's credit history loan-to-value (LTV) payment type, loan amount and loan purpose so your rate and terms may differ. All loans are subject to credit approval. We will not charge You interest on purchases if You pay Your entire balance owed each month within 25 days of Your statement closing date.
As a cooperative, we are a membership organization. Our members exercise control over the Credit Union through their annual election of the Board of Directors. The Board governs the affairs of the Credit Union. After you join, you'll remain a member even if you no longer meet eligibility requirements.
Immediate family members (spouses, parents, children, siblings, grandchildren, stepparents, stepchildren, step-siblings, adoptive parents or children, and legal guardians and their wards) of DCTFCU members are also eligible to join the credit union. Your membership is established by opening a "Regular Share Account."
We offer both domestic and international wire transfers. Request must be received by 3:00 pm for same-day transmission and can be made in person, by fax or by telephone. We opened an account in January and should have run from the beginning! They claim they are for teachers but mocked us when we asked about Saturday hours. They have also been charging us for a life insurance policy on our auto loan that we never signed up for and our interest rate seems to change from month to month even though we signed up for a fixed rate loan. They have been actively ignoring our phone calls and emails for 2 months now! Can't wait until our 6 months are up and we can close our accounts! I can't believe the levels of ineptitude at this place.
