Since Caristrap's inception in 1954, we have grown steadily and have earned key positions in many markets, due to our ability to develop versatile and cost competitive solutions in strapping systems that respond to ever changing customer requirements. Today, our products are being used around the world and patents in several countries protect many of our inventions.
Our facilities include a highly integrated factory, proprietary machinery, development and testing laboratory. We are proud to be the first non-metallic strapping to be approved by AAR (Association of American Railroads) and the first to achieve ISO 9001 Certification. Since then, we have pursued our commitment to continuous product improvement.

Services
Caristrap is a textile product, manufactured from high tenacity polyester yarn, similar to that used in tires and conveyor belts. It is just as strong as steel, without all the disadvantages. Our polyester woven straps are used in combination with in-house manufactured buckles. Caristrap buckles provide the strongest and most reliable joint in the strapping industry.
The Caritape product family is a small, non-woven product, specially designed for lighter duty applications. While polyester yarn is the main product used for its fabrication, other cord materials are also popular for specific applications; heat resistant/insulating fiberglass, recyclable paper, heat shrinkable polyester, cotton, Kevlar and carbon fibers.
Caristrap provides manual, hand, ratchet & pneumatic strapping & lashing tools for your cargo securing systems. Caristrap straps and lashings are tensioned with hand-held manual, ratchet & pneumatic Caristrap strapping & lashing tools. Your application and the type & size of strap you use determine the best Caristrap tensioner for you.
Textile bales can be made under greater tension, thus reducing bale size and shipping costs or allowing more material to be compacted per bale. This is a major achievement in days of high transportation costs. Our strapping can also be used with or without buckles (bailing knot - see below). Bales will not get contaminated, and the strapping can often be thrown in with the recyclable mixture.
Lashing is a special type of woven strap with a higher break strength rating due to its wider format and fabrication. Not only does it contain more polyester yarn than any of our other products, it also utilizes a heavier yarn.
Because AG40/AG50 is a woven lashing manufactured from high tensity yarn, it is a safer, cost effective alternative which replaces conventional cargo restraint products such as heavy duty steel strapping, wire (rope), chains and ratchet straps.
