Eagle Crest has improved greatly over the past few years. Living at Echo Village was nothing but pleasant. The office staff is super friendly and quick to provide help where needed. All of my maintenance requests were met swiftly and with lasting results. I have no regrets choosing to live at Echo Village and would recommend to anyone looking for an affordable off-campus apartment.

I'm honestly so surprised to see these bad reviews! I signed a year long lease for a studio apartment with Eagle Crest and had a great experience. The apartment was perfect for me, and they were always quick to respond to any questions or get to maintenance requests I had. I got a job a few hours away and ended up needing to move before my lease was over, and they let me pass my lease on to someone else and were very helpful throughout the whole process, especially Birgitta! I also got my security deposit back in full, and although my official move out date was a few days after the start of the

I'd give them negative starts if I could. Leased from Eaglecrest for 2 years while at UMass. They never cleaned or maintained any of our two properties and each year they stole from our security deposit. Even if you clean and fix your unit they'll still charge you. It's straight up fraud. They simply do not care about their tenants what so ever except for the money they take from you. I highly recommend not leasing from these guys it has been nothing but pure frustration and disappointment dealing with them for the last 2 years. As you can tell from other reviews everyone has something bad to say

When they show you the apartment, you get charged equal to a half month's rent for a "realtor fee" for a property that they manage themselves. They aren't an outside realtor showing it on behalf of a third party. Just so it's clear... it's a property THEY manage and if you decide to move in, they charge you the realtor fee just to see the place....that THEY manage!!!!
Last May I moved in taking over a lease that a previous tenant was breaking. After 2 months, I had to sign another lease that started September 1st and rent increased $60/month. Now it's the beginning of April (about 6 months) and

These people are crooks! They take advantage of students in need of housing and put them in units that are rarely ever properly maintained or cleaned. In my 2 years with Eagle Crest, I never moved into a clean unit, I've had countless issues with the units (including bee infestations, pests, and sewage flooding into my basement twice!), and after graduating and moving out, they took our security deposit without any legitimate explanation of why! They monopolize student housing and Amherst and do not treat their tenants with respect or care. Don't rent from these people!

If you are looking for a place to live use Eagle Crest as your absolutely last option. They will try to steal every dollar you are worth and in addition to that they could not care less about the health and safety of their tenets. We called them about a mold problem and their response was to bring someone over to clean the shower and the bathroom floor. The mold was on the windows. Also the heater broke about three times and at some points we went days without heat.

Twice families applied for my property after showing but for one or another reason they would inform Eagle Crest that they would withdraw their application. Not only did this company take up to three weeks from showing the property again but would neglect to inform me of the developments dodging phone calls and text messages for days. During one of their scheduled showings their agent not only arrived late without notifying me or the family waiting for him but had actually never seen the property thus unable to provide any detailed information. I conducted the showing instead.

Note: This review is for the Chicopee units, NOT the Amherst units.
I've been seeing a lot of negative reviews for Eagle Crest online, but I'm not quite sure why.
I've lived here for about two years. To start, when I first applied, the property manager Sharleen met me at a Panera to sign the lease and have a coffee. The process was very quick and easy from start to finish.
I didn't have a single issue with the apartment until about a year in when there was no hot water one morning. I called the office, and the problem was fixed later on that day. I think they may have replaced the flash heater
