Turdo Vineyards is now the only vineyard and winery in the state of NJ to be run 100% on solar energy! Turdo Vineyards & Winery, making premium wines while helping to save our planet at the same time. Turdo Vineyards is a family owned and run operation. It all begins with Sal, he is the owner, as well as master wine maker.
TURIS wines are 100% estate grown. The grapes are harvested by hand at peak maturity starting in mid-September for the white varieties, and ending in early November for the reds. The white grapes are de-stemmed and crushed the same day they are harvested, to retain their fresh flavors and aromas. The must ferments at cool temperatures for about a month until all of the sugars are used up.

Turdo Winery produces fantastic Italian varietals. The Owners are fantastic people and they treat you like family.
I have been coming here for about 7 years.
Each year, the wine just get's better.
I just bought Brunello, Barolo and Port.
Many wines were sold out, as they do each year. If you like wine, this place is a must.

A small intimate experience. Boutique in size. Red selection very good. My wife and I spend about four days of the year enjoying a glass of wine onsite. Not a big tasting area, but the wines and visual atmosphere we look forward to. Many nice wineries in Cape May. But this is our favorite

What a pleasant surprise. Tucked in just off of Bayshore Rd and just a few minutes form Cape May. It’s very small compared to some of the areas other wineries. But what they may lack in size they make up with very good wine. There are a handful of tables outside with some cheeses and other snacks you can purchase to enjoy while you are there. Well worth the visit for folks who appreciate wine.

Literally just left this place. ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC! The staff was so very kind and friendly, even got to meet the owner and he told us stories of how the wine is made and his own personal tricks for making everything taste amazing! The moscato is to die for along with the Pinot Grigio! 10/10 would highly recommend! We will definitely be back!

We love Turdo! Luca and his family truly have mastered the art of winemaking. The Nero D'Avola is unbelievable. If you want to know the in's and out's of wine, this is the place to go. We were given a full description of each wine in our tasting and it made our experience so authentic. Their outdoor patio overlooks the winery and is perfect for an afternoon glass of wine! Thanks Turdo Winery, we love you guys!

Turdo Winery is an unpretentious winery content in making exceptional quality dry wines (dry reds and whites). No tours, no food, no presentations... just *great* wine. We had an informative conversation with their son/somolier Luca about their family history in making wines and what makes their wines so distinct.
You haven't heard of them? Neither had we. It turns out they sell out of everything they produce so they don't need to participate in the various NJ wine festivals and competitions. However they do enter and deservedly win awards at various international competitions.

I was really excited to host my best friends bachelorette event here. And I’d like to start by saying this is the first time I’ve ever left a bad review for a business! The owner was great at communicating when he wanted me to book the event and send the money. However once everything was booked the communication was very poor sometimes taking him weeks to respond to me. A half hour before our scheduled event I received a text from him stating he is sick and we wouldn’t be able to have our tasting but we can still show up and everything would be taken care of. I thought it was unprofessional

Great experience! My wife has been going here for years and has told me about it, since I'm Sicilian, and the owners are too. She mentioned they brought their grapes over from there and began growing them in Cape May.
Last weekend I finally got to go and experience the winery and it was an awesome experience. Everything about it was a concept I want to do with my coffee business. The business was built on the property they live on. In addition they built a cute wine tasting room and a beautiful patio that has the feeling of an Italian winery. Reminded me of one we went to in Sicily that was next

Small vineyard. Doesn't compare to others in area. All food was packaged (not fresh). Service was friendly and setting decent.

I'll just add a few comments that will hopefully help make this a better experience for future visitors.

1) I can verify that the wines are popular because 5 out of the 7 white wines on the menu were sold out. So we could only choose between a Riesling and "orange colored" wine. I understand under-estimating demand but a winery should have more than two choices or at least let customers know that before traveling there.

2) The pre-packaged food

We enjoyed a tasting with our wonderful host, Megan. She was knowledgeable and made the experience fun. We were able to have a glass next to the vines and the beautiful manicured flowers. The attached pictures show the great environment that Turdo provdes. I couldn't delete the duplicate photo, but it was a nice one.

We have been coming to Turdo Vineyards for the past 5 years. It started as a random comment from their daughter, Tanya, that I should stop by, since I was in the area (on the Cape May ferry, comong from Delaware). It turned out to be the best post I ever made, solely because of the repercussions. We make the trek down at least twice a year. The wine is delicious, the scenery and seating is beautiful, and the family could not be nicer. We talk this up to anyone who will listen.

Make the trip. Do the tasting. Enjoy the wine, and the knowledge that they have on it. It is a great way to spend a few

Lived in NJ for over 11 year ... visited many great wineries. This last week we decided to visit this winery. WOW we were greeted by an extremely RUDE lady. WE were the only ones there, party of 5 including a 2 year old.

Did she greet us with a smile - NO, did she greet us with a welcome to our winery - NO, just sit at any table and make sure you "keep you baby near the table" and "keep your baby off the grass". On top of this, she kept spying on us through the window .... when we made a wrong move ... she jump at us!
Additionally the wine was just OK - "very expensive

Great spot to get away from the hustle and bustle of the busy Cape May area beaches in the summer. Their wines are fantastic and mostly Italian varietals (think Barbera, Nebbiolo, Sangiovese). They have a great mixture of dry whites, reds, and they have a dry rosé (Rosario) as well. If you've ever thought that great wine could not be grown and made in New Jersey, this place will help change your thought on that. The team is always friendly and inviting and helps answer any questions you have. You can bring food to enjoy or purchase some of their cheeses and crackers that's available

The walk up to Turdo is cute, with their fruit trees on display, but it sorta ended there. We had to park near the baseball field because there's no lot. It looks to be a part of someone's house, so I understand the lack of lot space. They were busy that afternoon, but still took the time to talk to each customer about recommendations. The wine with orange peel sounded appealing, so the one lady gave us a sample and it was not liked, so we got a bottle of Rosato and some chocolates to split. They have a refrigerator with store packaged cheese and meats to sample with the wine, but no

We loved it here! Turdo is a beautiful Winery with a well set up wine tasting experience as well. It was $10 to try 5 different wines. We had a wonderful experience with Cindy. She was very sweet in helping us choose and giving us the back story of Turdo Winery. The Turks Rosario - Dry Rose and the Pinot Grigio were my favorites! We ended up buying a bottle of the Rosato to share out on the patio. The patio is beautiful and over looks the fields. My only complaint is they need some type of fan for outside! We were melting. For two wine tastings and a bottle purchase it was $40! We left super happy

Easy to find with off street parking which is totally awesome for the DD! Nice, clean and comfortable tasting room. Employees are very knowledgeable of products they serve. Pricing is VERY reasonable.

We did a tasting and grabbed a chilled bottle of the DiLica Bianco Albarino to enjoy on the patio. Atmosphere was great with nice views of the vineyards. While sitting we had the pleasure of meeting Luca. What a great young man with a clear vision of satisfying the people.

I would definitely recommend Turdo Vineyards to all in Cape May County. We can't wait to visit again real soon

This is what I think of as a boutique winery as it is smaller than most in the area. Don't let the size fool you though as it has a lot to offer. The Turdo Family and staff are extremely nice, welcoming and knowledgeable. Definitely has their own unique and delicious variety of wines. $5 for 5 wine tasting is a great price and surely gives you an idea of what you would like to take home with you or to a BYOB in the area. We truly enjoyed our tour and sampling. Another must try winery in the area.
