Sphere Solar Energy is a Seattle based company that was started by Edwin Wanji in 2015. Edwin's story is unique, and it explains why he is so attached to the work that Sphere Solar Energy performs. As a child, Edwin grew up in Kenya. His mother's job in law enforcement required the family to move every two years, and so Edwin was enrolled in numerous schools.
His teachers changed regularly, as did his friends, but all the schools had one thing in common - unreliable sources of energy, which made it impossible at times to study during evening hours. Edwin participated in a series of student exchange programs while in college that brought him to Germany, Poland, and ultimately the US.

The crew was very professional and happy that they could make one more customer set with solar.

Edwin, Nigel, Peter, and the team each conducted themselves and their work in a professionally and polite manner. We did have some back and forth with inspections but Edwin and the team were right there to work through it, keeping us in the loop. My rating if I could set it would be more like a 4.5 with that .5 just because of the back and forth with inspections. We ended up missing some prime days of sun light due to it. The inspector was asking for things the team had never seen before but made sense. Example: chicken wire under the panels so kids don't play with the cables, which where zipped

Sphere installed a ballasted 17 kW system on our flat roof. System is working great so far about a month in, and their customer service and install crew were great too. The install took longer than expected, but that was only because we had unlucky timing with that crazy record heat wave. Visceral reminder of why switching to renewables is so important.

Our solar experience with Sphere was superb! From the beginning to the end, the Sphere crew went above and beyond to make sure our system was installed in a timely manner. Working with Sphere was amazing! Eddie was super helpful getting a plan in place and making sure we had everything we needed for the project to fit our house. The crew was super attentive, clean and professional the whole way through. We never has any worries about safety or effectiveness. Top quality materials the whole way through. The electrical inspector even commented on how good the install was!

Sphere Solar Energy completed our solar installation in December 2019 and we couldn't be more pleased with the installation. The panels have been working excellently and have been producing at or above the estimated rates in the initial estimations.
The installation was done quickly and professionally and Edwin and his team were communicative and responsive to our questions and input, and ensured that the installation was aesthetically pleasing (taking care with conduit and panel placement, etc.). I contacted SphereSolar energy through some environmental justice contracts. Edwin (owner) invited me to one of their information sessions. I was always interested in solar for my home and his information and explanations convinced me to go down that path. After deciding on a system, Edwin's crew went to work. They showed up with masks (all of them) and immediately downloaded all of the equipment (42 panels and inverters). We all went over all of the equipment and made sure we had the right quantities.
