All orthodontists must be licensed to practice, but at this time only 1 in 3 orthodontists have continued on to complete Board Certification. The American Board of Orthodontics (ABO) certification process signifies a unique achievement-a significant step beyond the two to three years of advanced education required for a dentist to become a specialist in orthodontics.
Race Orthodontics is proud to congratulate our founder, Dr. Charles Bohl, on over 40 years of extraordinary care to the community. Dr. Bohl's much- deserved retirement began in 2015 after a long and distinguished career. He was fully devoted to his patients, their families, and the Brookfield, Wauwatosa and Mukwonago communities all of whom have benefited from his expertise and dedication.
At Race Orthodontics, Board certified orthodontist Dr. Kevin Race and his team utilized the latest in orthodontic technology. Cutting-edge procedures, techniques, and equipment help us determine orthodontic issues with expedience and accelerate your treatment. The iCAT 3-D Dental Imaging System produces optimal images with unparalleled accuracy.
1. Do I need a referral from my dentist to schedule my appointment with the orthodontist?. No, many of our patients are referred by their family dentist, yet many other patients take the initiative to schedule an examination themselves.

Great people! Easy to schedule and reschedule, gentle, explained everything along the way, worked with me and my insurance as well as a payment plan. They made my daughter, who has had bad teeth from the beginning and developed a dislike for dentists, feel very comfortable and at ease. She is so happy with her teeth! Thank you!!
