While there is no exact age for children to begin orthodontic treatment, the American Association of Orthodontists recommends visiting the orthodontist around age seven. By this age, most children have a mix of baby teeth and adult teeth, making it easier for the orthodontist to diagnose and correct tooth and jaw problems sooner and without surgery.

Dr. Barden and staff were a joy to get to visit every 6 weeks for my adjustments. I was nervous being an older-ish patient feeling insecure that I am getting braces at my age. I never once felt awkward at Dr. Barden’s office! I felt cared for and very motivated to keep wearing the braces. I am glad I did! I love my smile and have confidence!

I cannot say enough about Dr. Barden. He has been honest and straightforward with both of my children's experience with braces. He has even met me at his office on a Saturday when wires were poking my daughter on a retainer. Great work ethic and customer service. Office staff is always pleasant. This is a great orthodontic office all around!

My experience with Barden Orthodontics was great. I they were always flexible, and I rarely had to wait for appointments. The staff was friendly and very quickly learned my name and could recognize me whenever I came in. In addition, the new offices are beautiful and functional. I would certainly go back to Barden Orthodontics if I had to choose again.
