Maria's talent as a courtroom litigator has been appreciated by both clients and adversaries. She has litigated cases in all Capital Region courts that hear family law and divorce matters.

After nearly two decades of practice, Maria offers extensive experience in the areas of matrimonial and family law including agreements (prenuptial, postnuptial, and separation), custody and visitation, equitable distribution, spouse and child support evaluations, enforcement and modification proceedings, awards of counsel fees and expert fees.
Katrina provides legal assistance and administrative support to attorneys in a variety of fields, including Divorce, Family Law, Will preparation and Residential Real Estate Closings. Katrina earned her Associate Degree in Criminal Justice from Bryant & Stratton College and also earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Crime, Law and Justice Policy from Sage College of Albany.
The Family Law and Divorce practices are managed by the Firm's founding principal Maria C. Tebano. Ms. Tebano has been a practicing family law and divorce attorney in New York State for nearly two decades, and her talent as a courtroom litigator has been widely recognized by clients and adversaries alike.
Family law is the name given to the branch of civil law that a family lawyer or a family attorney covers including the legal relationships among family members, which includes husbands, wives, parents, children, and domestic partners. The Family Court of the State of New York has the authority to decide issues relating to the areas outlined above.

I absolutely loved Maria. She helped me a lot and fought hard against the other attorneys. She works hard for her clients and is extremely dedicated. I met with with other attorneys prior to hiring Maria. They were not as aggressive as she was. I would highly suggest Maria.

Maria, at the end of the day is self serving. I felt bullied during the entire time I hired her and not listened to at all. In the time I hired her, I wasted $15k and nothing was accomplished in my case. Literally nothing but a huge bill and more headaches at the end of the day. She made me sign a release under duress and left me stranded at the court house to represent myself.
If you dont like everything she says or does and you question her skills be careful because she doesn't like that as bullies often don't. I asked her for requests and questions repeatedly, all ignored. I didn

If I could rate a 0 I would. The average person doesn't know enough, if anything, about divorce court to fight their way through a lengthy seperation and divorce so they research and hire an attorney to protect their best interests. Maria says everything you want to hear regardless of whether or not it is in your best interest. Her work is sloppy at best and her errors in filed court documents cost me everything I hired her to fight for. Every time I looked to her for guidance and followed her advise she steered me wrong. Ironically, when I hired her she joked that my case was so easy,
