Master Phil, along with Amelia, Justice, and Jackson Nguyen, receive the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Medal for contributions to our community and country. We are a family-oriented, life skills, martial arts academy. Our vision is to be a center of martial arts education, empowerment, and enlightenment where people become Black Belts, Champions, and Leaders in Society.
Our goal is to help you prepare your child physically, mentally, and socially for grade school. Do you have a 4-6 year old and wondering if there is a way to: harness their boundless physical energy remind them of good manners introduce them to the concepts of mental focus and discipline socialize them have FUN in a safe and supportive environment?
You are about to take your first step on the journey of Black Belt Excellence; that is, setting goals for yourself, overcoming obstacles to achieve them, and feeling the happiness of your growth and development of your and your family's mind, body, and spirit. We believe that choosing a martial arts school is an important life-transforming family decision.
We have seen a lot of improvements with Braeden since September. He does not get as easily frustrated and he just seems a lot happier. He puts a lot of effort into his homework and we don't have to fight with him to get him to do it. Taekwon-Do has given both my sons something IN COMMON TO DO AND TALK ABOUT (besides video games).

My youngest son began Taekwon-Do in 1999 on a whim and soon after, the rest of our family joined him. With the exception of our oldest son, we simply kept going for another 19 years. Under Master Phil’s leadership, we built enough confidence and experience to become Senior Instructors, where my youngest son continues to this day.

Having trained at BBX for the last 8 1/2 years, with my wife and two daughters, I can't say enough good things about the Academy. With a family friendly environment the staff is top notch always ensuring that they are able to meet the needs of the students. We have thoroughly enjoyed our time at BBX and would not hesitate to recommend it for those wishing to learn Taekwon-Do.

Since my daughter starting martial arts two years ago I have seen my daughter become more confident in herself. She is willing to try new things without the fear of failing. Martial arts have taught her that with hard work and a strong mindset that almost anything is possible. Even if it takes a few times to accomplish a goal, anything worth having… is worth the extra effort. Martial arts have also taught her how to take things in stride and how to be a more patient person as well as how to respect others. BBX has an amazing team lead by Master Phil. This is a great place for martial art training as a family or individually.
I started my TKD training here over 6 years ago and recently attained my 2nd degree black belt.
You will be challenged physically and mentally and you'll be surprised at the things you can do when you push yourself. Two thumbs up for BBX!!
