Great experience and can't recommend this place enough the staff is very helpful and takes the time to do a job right. I was helped by Nick who was extremely friendly and explained everything to me about my vintage project bike. Not only did he help me in store but also gave me recommendations for where to find other parts. Great guy! Definitely come here if you need great service!

My 2 year old Cannondale bike began to break spokes on the rear wheel. I repaired it twice, and when it broke another spoke, I checked the Cannondale warranty. It appeared that they would cover the repair/replacement of the wheel.
I brought the bike into Uni bikes about 2 weeks ago. Pierce documented the defect, and filed a claim with Cannondale.
A week later I had not heard anything from Uni bikes or Cannondale. I called Pierce and he hadn't heard from Cannondale either. He suggested that it might help to call Cannondale warranty dept. I did that.
A week later the new wheel showed up at

Best bike shop in town! I have purchased two bikes from this shop, and I couldn’t have been more happy. They do free lifetime adjustments on the bikes if you buy them there, and the staff is more knowledgeable and friendly than all the other bike shops I have been to in Boulder. Can’t say enough good things, highly recommend.

U Bikes has been my go to bike shop since I’ve lived in Colorado. I’ve recently got into triathlons, and had a brief fit with Logan to help identify a bike size that would suit me. I eventually picked up a new bike, and proceeded to have an official fit with him. He a answered my barrage of questions / fit concerns, and adjusted my bike to fit. Logan’s excellence in the details has provided an outstanding riding experience. My wife is currently looking for a bike. It was an obvious decision to stop at U Bikes and talk with Logan again. The service level at this shop is simply next level. They, like all shops post COVID, are having trouble getting bikes and parts. Yesterday they researched my 10 year old bike to locate the part number for my trashed brake hoods to find the part number, attempted to order for me but found delivery to be in 2022. They then recommended eBay, wrote down the part number. I got online and ordered and will be delivered in a couple weeks. Over and over through the years Ubike amazes me with their service. A pleasure to visit the shop too with no attitude and lots of cool history!

Walked in to rent a road bike. They didn't have any so I rode a gravel bike for a couple of days. While the bike was fine the front disc brake squeaked continuously every time I used it. I took the bike back and one of the Service blokes worked on it for 15 minutes. No change. I returned the bike at the end of the second day. Went back two days later to rent a bike again. Got a different bike which was the same make and model though a larger frame. Bike rode well though just like the first bike the front break squeaked loudly every time I used it. Using the front brake never felt like it

I had been looking all over my local area for a bike part to no avail. I jumped on the internet to see if I could find the part I was looking for and found University Bicycles, which showed the part in stock. I gave them a call to be sure they had it, which they did. I told them I was located out of state and they were very honest in telling me they may not be able to ship it due to the ongoing parts shortage. After some checking on their end they confirmed they could ship the part. Once they confirmed that I could order I did so right away. University Bicycles went out of their way to help me

Mark in the Service department is the man! My dream bike was stolen, then I found it on Facebook the next day. The Boulder Police got him and got me the bike back (Hacked up front fork, wheel, and bars) Even though they were super busy and booked, Mark took the time to diagnose, offer replacement parts, and help me get back on the road! Took my mountain bike in for service on my front derailleur and also rear shock.....expected to leave it for a few weeks. Mechanic that helped me did an assessment and was able to fix both very quickly.....I asked how much and he said it was on them!! I've been here before for other service and it was excellent....the practice of not charging when it's a quick fix is fantastic and a great way to gain serious loyalty. Kudos to the management for allowing this to happen.

I pre-ordered a bike from U Bikes in the middle of a pandemic. Obviously that means I had to wait several months. I received calls every month from this shop giving me an update on the order and when I can expect it. I really appreciated this gesture and it exemplifies the quality of service this place offers.

A complaint about the bike repairs: A decade ago I bought a Specialized bike at University Bicycles, and after a couple of years the gear shifting would stick. I brought it in for repair and they replaced the shifter cables. It barely helped and I'd have to bring back again the following year, paying quite a bit for the multiple cable replacements.
Looking online I recently saw that the Shimano shifters on the bike are known to get stuck, and they just needed to be cleaned out with a degreaser (WD40). I did that and a few minutes later the shifter is as good as new.

The whole crew at University bicycles is really easy-going, accommodating, and helpful. They had the right part at the right moment and and took care of me quickly amidst the COVID-19 conditions. The coolest part is that there is no hint of condescending attitudes towards newbies like me... Colby is a champ for not making fun of me for putting my bike together incorrectly. He is also a legend for being so helpful and giving me some solid education. I can't say enough about how much I have benefited from the custom fit services provided by Logan. In the first ~400 miles/15 rides post fit early April, I feel like I am "one" with my bike: greater power transfer; greater efficiency; less strain on hips/knees; and less recovery time all which equals the most important goal: getting out and enjoying the ride. Also, this goes beyond a "feel"; the results have been demonstrated via performance stats across the board.

I'm so impressed with the customer service here. The bike selection is incredible, too. Ben was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and patient in helping me find the perfect bike. I bought a rack and kickstand with it and they installed it for me right there. It gives me peace of mind that I can just bring it here and get it serviced for any issues in the future. I really didn't want to leave this review. I planned a 4 day trip to Boulder (visiting from NC) and 2 of the days were for mountain biking. Staff was friendly when I booked over the phone and they got me set up with a Santa Cruz for a great price for 2 days. When I showed up on Thursday to pick up the bike is where things declined quickly. I was told that it had snowed a couple days ago and "their bikes aren't made for that weather" and that they might get dirty. They didn't say anything about protecting the trails but that there is mud and their bikes dont do well in muddy conditions since there

However my usual two bike shops were closed on a Sunday and I had an emergency (my wheel needed replacing)
University was open, and I noticed how busy the shop was. They also had plenty of staff, by far the largest and busiest bike store I've been in.
They repaired my bike quickly and efficiently and what really impressed me was they have not ONE technician inspect and test it AFTER it's finished, but TWO separate technicians as a double check.
They will be my new bike store.
