Services
Our teachers are dedicated to making your child's time in our care a fun, engaging learning experience. They work hard to provide for your child's physical, emotional, and intellectual needs. Here is a little information about each of our staff members so that you can get to know them a bit more personally.
My Childcare Academy is more than just a daycare where you can drop off your children. It's a place where your child, toddler, or infant can learn, grow, and discover who they are. Shana Ashby, Owner of My Childcare Academy, believes that the habits learned in a child's earliest years set the precedence for their future habits.
We love our community and providing local children with a quality preschool education! While our program is inspired by Montessori, it is designed to be lesson and goal-oriented. Here, children learn through play and experiences. They'll be engaged with hands-on experiments and planned activities. We have monthly themes, like "Under the Sea" and "Mad Science" that will allow students to explore each aspect of STEAM education.
While at My Childcare Academy, your child will be supervised by loving, engaging staff who will fill their days with a variety of activities. We provide a safe, home-like atmosphere where your child can do their homework, make new friends, and develop new skills. Our after school and summer programs are available to school-aged children (ages five to 12).
If your child has allergies, be sure to talk with us about how we'd handle your child's particular situation. We serve breakfast, AM snack, lunch, and PM snack. We have an eight-week menu that we rotate through to provide your children with variety. We serve mostly hot lunches, but will occasionally do cold lunches as well.

I absolutely love My Childcare Academy! From their curriculum to how amazing the teachers are, they go above and beyond! I have a 5 year old son and a 1 year old baby girl that currently attend full time. My son is currently struggling with some anxiety and behavioral issues. They have been amazing at helping him thru this, while keeping me informed on what they are doing on their end to help my son. They are constantly asking for feedback on what things work for us at home too so they can incorporate it in their routine. You can tell the teachers love the kids and genuinely care about them.

We absolutely love My Childcare Academy. When we moved to Utah we tried a few different childcare places and weren’t super excited about them. When we started at My Childcare Academy it was so different! They’re super responsive and have an app so we can see what is offered to eat during the day, activities they do, and pictures. They have structure and play and my daughter has learned so much in the time she’s been there. Her teachers really work to get to know her and figure out how to best help her learn and grow. They’re patient and kind. It really feels like she’s not just a number

As a parent choosing to send your children to daycare can be agonizing. As a highly anxious person I really struggled but I knew for my own well-being I needed to return to the workforce. My top choice when my son was born was my childcare academy. Unfortunately, when he was born there was a 1 year+ waiting period. Fortunately, after our daughter was born and the pandemic started spots opened up. My kids have actively been attending since may. The teachers are sooo kind. My kids are so happy. We get daily updates with pictures outside, the fun crafts/activities they’re doing, what they’re eating

We LOVE My Childcare Academy! We came over from a different center 2 years ago and it was THE BEST thing we could’ve done for our little one. The learning curriculum is amazing. The meals and snacks they provide are healthy and balanced. I get to see what activities they’re doing, what foods are served, nap time, picture updates and more… all from their app. Cleanliness as well as security measures for entering the facility and checking kids in/out are all great. Can’t say enough about how great they are!

It's been great! They're also expanding after a few short years. What I love: Healthy food menu, fresh veggies and fruits. Has an app that they send pics and cute little updates on your child's day. Also love how much my little one actually enjoys going and playing there. It's run more like a school than a daycare hence the name and there's structured playtime and activities for them as well, even at the younger groups. My little one has learned so much in the couple months attending one for the first time and the ladies have been wonderful bonding with our baby.

Ella started going to my childcare Acadamy since she was 1 and we have loved our choice. All the teachers are amazing, always attentive, and loving towards ella. She has grown so much and all because of her amazing teachers. They also have an amazing app. That helps keep up with your child, you get actual pictures of them, updates on activities, and updates on what they eat throughout the day. Shana has created such a fun and loving environment for my ella and others. I highly recommend my childcare Acadamy

My grandchildren attend My Childcare Academy, and I am so happy that they do! This place is AMAZING! I am constantly telling my daughter and son-in-law how lucky they are to have found a daycare that not only takes really good care of the kids, but provides fun learning activities like a pre-school. We searched the entire Salt Lake Valley for not just a daycare, but a place we could leave our precious child and KNOW they would be safe, educated, and well-cared for. We found My Childcare Academy almost accidentally and from the moment we walked in, we KNEW it was the place. It was clean, there was a rigorous schedule for the children, and Shana (owner) is the kind of small business owner that treats you right and strives for perfection. My Childcare Academy is amazing. I have 4 kids that attend the school aged, 4 year old, 2 year old, and infant classes. We've been attending for a little over a year and we wouldn't go anywhere else. We have a kid in almost ever class and so we have experience with almost every teacher. Every one of them is kind and patient and just wonderful. They teach my kids so much! Really more of a preschool. We drive 25 minutes to get there every day and would never consider going somewhere closer. I'm sure my kids would never forgive me if I took them out. Within the first 2 weeks my child started there, his teacher had a mental breakdown in the hallway and was screaming at me about how she couldn't handle my son's tantrums. ( Child was just barely 1 1/2 years old- starting at a new daycare for the first time. Attachment issues to be expected.) I was livid at the lack of professionalism and dramatic manner this teacher talked to me in as I just set foot in the building. The director did address the problem and that teacher was assigned to another class.

We've had our kids in My Childcare Academy for over 4 years. We love it and more importantly our children love it! I've never been concerned about the care my kids are receiving; they are fed nutritious food, they participate in quality activities, they are making friends and bonding with their teachers. The facility is clean (taking extra precautions with COVID), the kids are separated into different classes by age groups so the education they receive is specific to their needs. I am so impressed with this daycare. Shana is great and very accommodating and so are all of the teachers. They use an app to keep you up to date through out the day regarding your child's activities, food, and general care. It is so nice to be able to pull up the app and see a big smile on my child's face. My son is always learning new things. They have a theme each week and focus on that theme during all of their activities. So wonderful!
