Points from speeding tickets can cause insurance premiums to jump or result in a revoked or suspended license. It is estimated that insurance costs increase 18% after one moving violation and as much as 53% after three moving violations. Convictions for three speeding tickets or an accumulation of 11 points within an 18 month period will result in a loss of driving privileges.
Many drivers learn for the first time when they are stopped for a speeding ticket or other traffic violation and the police officer runs their license through his data base, that their driving privileges have been suspended. The suspension of driving privileges can result from a lapse of automobile insurance, a failure to appear for a traffic ticket or a failure to pay a traffic fine or DMV Assessment.
New York State has become tougher on the issue of distracted driving. A ticket for cell phone use while driving (VTL 1225-c) is a traffic infraction which now carries 3 points. A ticket for texting or other use of an electronic device while driving (VTL 1225-d) is also a traffic infraction that carries 3 points.

I was fined with a ticket that would have removed a considerable number of points from my license. I've decided to look for a local law firm, and found Tuths online. The interaction with Paul was great from the very beginning. The pandemic dragged the case longer than expected, but Paul gave me relevant point updates about the progress of the case, and was able to reduce the violation so that I didn't lose any points. I am pleased that I never had to appear in court, as that would have required me to travel. I absolutely recommend this law firm!

Paul is a wizard. A magical law wizard who gets things done and is very communicative! I chose him based on the reviews I found online and I was not disappointed. What would have been points and a large fine was reduced significantly and I couldn't be more pleased. I'm very happy with the results and will recommend him to everyone!

What would have been over 3 points and a hefty fine, for using a cell phone while driving, turned out to be just a fine, thanks to the very knowledgeable and experienced Paul Tuths, my fine was reduced to a parking ticket with a far less expensive fine. I would highly recommend him for any traffic or moving violation, especially in the town of Southampton.

I got caught speeding on 495, thinking that the speed limit was 65 instead of 55. My car was licensed out of state so I was toast. What would have been a fine and 6 points on my license got pleaded down to a parking violation by the efforts of Mr. Tuths. My record remained clean and I could not have been happier with Mr. Tuths representation.
