Grigg & Davis Engineers PC have helped our firm J. Taylor Design Group LLC with both residential and commercial projects. We have found them to be smart, thorough, trustworthy and responsive. Since 1996, Grigg & Davis Engineers, PC have provided structural engineering services on over 1,500 residential design projects. Our diverse background includes numerous small to large residences; brownstones and row-house renovations; new complex homes; renovations and additions to existing houses; green-building retrofitting; apartment buildings; pool houses; barn conversions and garages.
Grigg & Davis Engineers, PC have designed and detailed numerous retaining walls of all types. Below are some samples of our work. Bond at G&D was truly professional and made a highly complicated engineering project easy. They have great attention to detail and worked closely with us to ensure our concerns were met and we felt safe (we framed an old home). Bond also found an alternative design structure that ended up saving us a lot of money as well. Great experience.

We contacted Grigg & Davis to have a look at our foundation after a lightning strike on our property. They were very responsive and flexible when scheduling a time for the inspection. They also provided multiple recommendations for companies to do repairs. I’d recommend them to anyone who needs to have their home evaluated for foundation-related issues.

We had Louise Grigg of Grigg & Davis Engineers come out to take a look at a number of structural concerns around our newly purchased house -- issues with the foundation, retaining walls, support beams, water damage, erosion, etc. We had had contractors out before who took a cursory look at our concern areas and suggested some expensive work that we never felt confident would solve the problems. Louise, on the other hand, carefully and patiently listened to all of our concerns and inspected the problematic areas. Louise and Bond are both friendly and helpful. It was very easy to make an appointment with Louise. Bond explained everything clearly about our concerns and it is glad to know everything is fine. Before he left, he walked around our house and gave us more advices. We would come back to them in the future with any structure concerns.

Louise was very personable, responsive, knowledgeable and accommodating. She and Bond were able to squeeze us in for a last minute foundation consult request needed by our lender and had a quick turnaround time for the report. Louise also kept in touch to ensure resolution of all issues with the lender. I would highly recommend Grigg and Davis Engineers!
