Susan is adept at finding the trigger points causing the issues in my lower back, calves and knees. The release of the muscle and relaxation from the endorphins help me to feel myself again. R.W. from Jaffrey, NH. Therapeutic massage is a general term that describes any type of massage modality that helps relieve pain, reduce stress, and work on a specific issues-such as headaches, sciatica, acid reflux and frozen shoulder.

Sunlighten Infrared Saunas are an effective method of promoting natural healing and prevention. Infrared light has the ability to penetrate human tissue which in turn produces a host of anti-aging health benefits making infrared saunas one of the "hottest" home therapies for overall healthier living.
Services
A therapy specifically designed to alleviate the source of the pain through cycles of isolated pressure and release. In this type of massage for trigger point therapy, the recipient actively participates through deep breathing as well as identifying the exact location and intensity of the discomfort.
As you might know, sweating is a great way to burn calories and rid your body of unwanted toxins. But how do you sweat when you're injured, or unable to exercise? I like to sweat in an infrared sauna. Infrared saunas help your body release a number of toxins, including heavy metals like mercury and lead, and environmental chemicals.
Massage therapy, when combined with traditional medical treatments, is used to reduce stress and pain and promote healing in people with certain health conditions. Massage can relieve tension in your muscles, and most people use it for relaxation, relief of stress and anxiety, or to reduce muscle soreness.
All 6 massages must be received by the same individual; not to be shared by other individuals or family members. Please bring a bath towel to put on bench to sit on, hand towel to use to wipe your self, wear socks or footies & bring water. Towels are available if you forget yours for a $1 cleaning fee.

Nearly a year after a lumpectomy, I still did not have full range of motion in my left arm. I thought I'd try massage therapy to help with the tightness in that area. After just two sessions, I was close to 100% back to normal.

Susan's practice is well-named. She delivers "WELL-TOUCHED" personal care, tailoring her approach and actions to you depending upon your needs of the day. Deep massage techniques are well within her competance. As well, Susan can be most gentle providing gently soothing relaxation visits. It all depends upon what you and she decide together.

Susan is a skilled practitioner who was able to effectively release stuck patterns in my body through precise trigger point work. She suggested that I use the infrared sauna to loosen my muscles prior to massage. It felt so nourishing and really supported the massage work. Her kindness and compassion hold the space for deep healing to unfold.
