Estate Planning is personal, and you need an estate plan that is all about you and your family. If you die without a will, the state of California will choose the guardian for your minor children, and your assets will be distributed according to intestate laws. If you die without a trust, and you have over $150,000 in assets, the California courts will administer the distribution of your estate in a process called Probate.
Heather started practicing estate planning law in 2001 at an international "Big Four" professional services firm, and was later recruited by a well-respected national law firm based in San Francisco. Heather has spent most of her legal career drafting complex estate plans for high-net-worth families, and devising tax strategies to save clients millions of dollars during their lives and upon death.
