Lake Travis Overhead Doors was founded by owner Doug Burd, a long-time resident of the Lake Travis area. Doug's father owned a garage-door repair business, which started in 1965. Doug grew up working in that business. When he was a little kid, it was nothing but heavy wooden doors, but Doug has watched the industry change over the decades with new materials and new technologies.

We often get called on very simple service calls that require only 10 minutes, and we never charge for this kind of service call! We want to earn your business and we know you'll call us when you have a significant garage-door repair.

We live in Lakeway Vistas with 141 units and our HOA President recommended Doug when we had a problem. Mr. Burd was very professional, did not attempt to sell things for repair outside of our current issue, and is a very nice person. Read his webpage to learn of the family history and values. What an awesome find! We were so thankful for Doug's promptness and help on a Sunday night during the holiday weekend when our garage door decided to get hung mid way! He was amazing! He answered the phone and was at our house within 30 minutes. He fixed our problem and was our super hero for the day! I called both Doug and one of his competitors for estimates to replace the springs on my garage door. Unlike his competitor, Doug was very professional and explained pricing options before he even saw my door, and arrived within an hour for the repair. He also inspected my entire garage door system and made adjustments to help maximize performance & life. The price was more than fare.

Doug came out to the house, looked over both doors, within 5-10 minutes had fixed both issues and told me no charge. He was professional, knowledgeable about what to do and overall the kind of person and company you want to do business with! I would call these guys every time because of the experience!
