Services
The mission of Wellington Place at Whiting and Wisconsin Illinois Senior Housing Inc., is to serve elderly and disabled individuals by providing quality housing, healthcare and other services to enhance the lives of those we serve. As a 501c3 non-profit our main goal is service, not making a profit.
As Administrator of Wellington Place in Whiting, I lead our excellent, qualified, and caring staff to provide the best possible care for our residents. It's very rewarding to be part of the residents' lives and the lives of their families. I enjoy going above and beyond to assist in our level of care any way that I can.
My husband feels very comfortable in Wellington Place. The staff is very caring, and the residents are so nice. They also have a lot of group activities, games, and live entertainment to keep the residents engaged and social. Thank you for providing a respectful and loving environment, and working so hard to help residents maintain their dignity.
To provide the best care and convenience to our residents, we offer in-home healthcare at Wellington Place through our sister company, Transitions At Home, although you are welcome to use the home health agency of your choice. Transitions provides medical care and rehab therapy using licensed RNs and therapists, and home health aides.
Join our team of caregivers who've discovered the rewards of a healthcare career in senior care. RAs and CNAs are in demand. We offer competitive salaries and benefits, plus the reward of knowing at the end of each day, you've helped someone have greater quality of life. Certified nursing assistants (CNAs) take a short course, often given by the American Red Cross or a community college.

Mom was moved to Wellington Place at Whiting from a different assisted living facility due to declining care. Kristan was so helpful in providing information about Wellington and what they had to offer. Mom’s transition was not easy at first but the staff at Wellington was very caring. Mom settled in and received excellent care and had a room that overlooked green grass. She was very comfortable there during her stay. The staff was very attentive and met her needs. Great activities and entertainment were offered each week. Management provided excellent communication and guided us through the

I wake every day thinking of Mom and how lucky she is to be at Wellington Place. Thank you for making Mom's transition from our home to yours seamless. It's evident that Mom is happy living at Wellington and we have the entire staff to thank for this. Everyone is so attentive and caring. Kristan, you are the perfect Administrator. You manage all the book work and staff AND still find time to engage with Mom and the other residents. Dawn, you fit the title of Care Coordinator to a tee. You make sure Mom has everything she needs to keep her safe and healthy and you sincerely care about your residents

Tried to place loved one and they ran into a Covid-19 staff member which pushed assessment back then a compressor issue which pushed things back again and understandable. After assessment we never heard from them again to say yes or no if they could handle cares. We were told by the end of the day they would let us know if loved one was accepted which we got email with more questions. We placed several calls that week and no return calls. The following week we got an email that stated nurse needed to review his assessment and never heard back. Placed multiple calls and emails with no returns that

We want to give a shout out to The Wellington Family. Yes, you're considered family to Bruce and me. You take excellent care of Mom, as if she were your own mother. The atmosphere at Wellington is homey, cozy, warm, bright, inviting and fun, making it a pleasure to visit everyone. Thank you, Bruce S. and Nannette M.

Great people providing good care! My mom moved to Wellington from another local facility and boy there was a big difference!! The staff was friendly, caring and respectful. They catered to my mom....personal preferences for dressing, bathing, activities, bed time and meals are accommodated. Special needs were met. I experienced great communication with the staff even though I lived a thousand miles away. It’s not just a job...the staff here cares about each resident. They did a great job keeping residents safe during COVID.

Best assisted living in Stevens Point/Plover area. I have been a caregiver for over 20 years, first for my mother, now as a volunteer guardian. The staff makes them the best. Other places have nice facility, but management and staff range from barely adequate to horrible. Wellington staff communicate so well and they are caring professionals. Highly recommend.

Anyone reading these reviews knows how difficult it is when you come to the point where you are contemplating assisted living for a loved one. I moved both of my parents into Wellington Place in January 2015 and they stayed there for the remainder of their lives.
Words cannot express how grateful I am for the care and caring that they received from staff. It was obvious that the staff genuinely enjoyed my parents, which was not always easy in my opinion! My mother had dementia and she was beyond challenging at times. I was so impressed with the flexibility and creativity that was employed to help

Exceptional care facility in the central Wisconsin area! My wife and I researched all Assisted Living Facilities in the area for my mother 3 years ago. We rated things like: home cooked meals, low turn-over of staff, staff-to-resident ratio, range and variety of activities for the residents, quality of rooms, special holiday gatherings, birthday celebrations, etc. While a couple facilities in the area had similar high ratings, my mother, after visiting, choose Wellington Place at Whiting. It was her decision and she has been extremely happy living there. At least once a week, she tells us that

I don't usually write reviews unless I am truly passionate about a product or in this case a residential care center, specifically Wellington Place @ Whiting.
My husband of 50 years was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease in 2005 and as his disease progressed I found I was unable to give him the care we so desperately needed. For those of you who had to make these decisions for a loved one, you know how difficult this can be.
Enter Wellington Place @Whiting. The facility, itself, is just the right size to make it feel more like a home with the amenities of a living room, library, beauty shop,
