Grant's Kung Fu Academy offers kung fu classes in Delaware county. We specialize in several Martial Art and Personal Defense Systems: Northern Praying Mantis, Wing Chun, Gao Style Baguazhang, Hebei Style Xingyiquan, Tactical Flashlight Defense, Personal Defense, and Firearms training. Our training blends the ancient Chinese Martial Arts techniques with todays need for fitness, conditioning and character building.
All students are encouraged to ask questions, observe other styles, learn theory, and apply it to real life. We teach traditional Northern Praying Mantis Kung Fu. We encourage our students to always ask questions, observe other styles, not just to learn theory but apply it to real life. We want our students to be the best, and to be "Academic Martial Artists" and understand why and how the techniques are used.
Feel safe when you're alone. In this 6 week class, learn the essential techniques that will defend yourself from any would be attackers. Learn the right and safe way to protect yourself and build the self-confidence and courage in different type of scenarios all while in a safe environment. This "Pro-Tekt" group is geared for all genders interested in learning "Real" Self Defense and Personal Protection.
Sifu Fred is a certified NRA firearms instructor and can show you exactly how to use your firearm safely. This class can be taken one-on-one or with friends. If you didn't know where to start, you're at the right place. This class teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude for owning and operating a pistol safely.
Sifu Fred Grant III, has been studying the art of Chinese Kung Fu for over 25 years. He is a qualified Black Sash instructor and is currently studying under Master Steve Cottrell, direct lineage to the Wong Hun Fun of Northern Praying Mantis system, founded by Wong Long.
Sifu Grant is currently studying the art of Traditional Wing Chun, under Master Keith Mazza who was hand-picked by Grandmaster William Cheung to train and serve as the North American Liaison for the World Wing Chun Kung Fu Association.
