Great bakery at a fantastic price. We bought two empanadas, 1 croqueta, 2 pastel de carne, 1 chicharone, and a coffee all for $10.00. We love this place

Good & decent & cheap, this is a typical latin bakery as it should be: a little flaky around the edges but in the end a tasty center, just like the guava pastries.

Local Cuban bakery with all the goodies one could ask for. Food is great and prices are very reasonable. Staff is also very attentive and nice.

I usually come in for some croquetas or pastelitos but have also grabbed a breakfast sandwich or two.

If you are ever in the neighborhood and craving some Cuban goodness, make sure to make a stop in here.

I remember my parents bringing me here as a child and the papas rellenas were my favorite. Now after almost 15 years I stopped by, and the papas were a complete fail. Extremely bland the potato was bland and the meat had 00 flavor. Disappointing 😞

They make a humongous Cuban sandwich for $6. Can't beat that price anywhere

Despite different owners, this place has been here since I was a kid (early 90s) and has great sweet treats. I recommend the flan and (guava) cheese pastries as well as the empanadas!

Even though the CDC says that any vaccinate person doesn't need or have to wear a mask any more , they didn't serve me because I refuse to wear a mask. Even though I did have the virus wich give me a natural immunity and also I get vaccinate and I tell them. Not recommended.

Honestly the smell drew me in. I walked in and ordered a pan con tortilla sandwich and it was sooo good! They also have really great pastries. I chose four and my favorite was the cheese stuffed, I had to get three to go. The cuban coffee and hot chocolate was really good too!

First time going to sunshine bakery today and was very pleased with my visit, the people were friendly, it was clean inside and the food was good. $15 for all the food we got, would definitely go again when I'm in the area

This bakery is amazing.
Their sandwiches are also great.
But, the best things to order are their cakes.
You should definitely try this bakery.

I only wish that they would offer at least one sugar free pastry! They could definitely sell sugar free pastries if they would advertise that they make them. There are many diabetes, like me, and we are constantly looking for places that offer sugar free desserts.

This Cuban bakery is the real deal! They have so many different bakery items ranging from sweet pastelitos to empanadas and pastries/cookies. This is our regular place to get beef and chicken empanadas along with cheese croquettes. Never been disappointed. My fav would have to be the spicy beef empanada.

My husband is not a Floridian so for him to find this place to have the best cuban delicacies is great!

For the Ft. Lauderdale area, while we didn't get to try other bakeries otw to the airport, this serves as a very good baseline! The croquettas are yummy and the Cuban pastries didn't survive the trip to the airport, without being too sweet or salty. Will definitely try other items if we get the chance to revisit this.

WOW! What an unexpected gem of a find! For what it is and where it is, this place is great.

I typically do not venture to eat when an establishment is located in an older strip mall. Just one of those things...

However, after reading the reviews and while my son and I waited for his sports practice to begin, I searched for nearby bakeries/sandwiches. Sunshine Bakeries pulls up with 4.5/5 stars!

So, what the heck... We decided to take the plunge and walked in. Cute place with several tables and bar tables to sit at. Very clean place and that's what kept me from walking out. The Bottom

Being from Miami you're used to seeing a Cuban bakery pretty much in any corner, now Ft. Lauderdale on the other hand is the total opposite. I need my Cuban pastelito fix once in a while and after looking at Yelp one morning I found this gem that other Yelp Elites, including the BPB boss, Blue A. had reviewed.

The Cuban coffee and Café con Leche is on point. I usually ask the ladies to make mine dark since I rather taste coffee than milk or sugar and the ladies always come through with the perfect blend. The pastelitos are yummy, baked fresh daily. They have all types; beef, guava

5 Stars for a legit Cuban bakery in Fort Lauderdale. Pro-tip: Get the toast. Every time.

Being a Miami native living in Orlando, I am often missing a good, authentic corner Cuban spot. While visiting a fellow Miami ex-pat in Fort Lauderdale he knew the way to my heart was through pastelitos.

We ordered guava pastries, quesitos (sugary baked good with a sweet cheese filling), tostada (pressed Cuban bread slathered in melted butter), croquetas, and I threw in a few alfajores (Cookies sandwiching a dulce de leche center).

My faves were the Cuban toast (all of the drool that morning) and quesitos

Worst service ever. There was a blond girl who attended me was just so rude. So after I ask her for what I wanted I asked if it was possible to get the pastries fresh since they looked like they came from under the fridge. She stated she couldn’t go to the back and get some fresh ones then once I paid since I didn’t get a tip she didn’t have the courtesy to give me a bag for my stuff, so once I asked for a bag she throws it on the counter and said good day. I DONT RECOMMEND THIS SH*** bakery to anyone

Another great find!!! Thank you Yelp!!! Well, let's see - Amazing! I ordered a birthday cake for my dog's birthday (for the humans guests not the dogs), they did an amazing job decorating it with the same colors and theme as the picture I shared with them from a beautiful cake I found on Pinterest. It was a vanilla cake with cream filling, it was super moist and full of flavor, and the frosting was delicious! The cake was for 25 people, I was also able to get 3 trays of my choice of Hors d'oeuvres, I selected the ham and cheese bocaditos, the cheese and guava patries and the ham

My last couple of weeks have consisted of my old Sunday morning tradition: Cuban breakfast.

I always brag about how much I love Broward VS Miami. The traffic is better. People are nice. The roads are mostly done. Construction doesn't take 18 years. People are nice. The beach is calmer. The beer scene is better. The people are nice. You get it.

But, there's one thing I really, really, really miss about Miami. There's a Cuban bakery on EVERY corner. Not so much here. So, since I moved here, I haven't really had my Cuban fix as often as I used to. Well, now that I found this
