She completed her Dietetic Internship at Kansas State University. She has been recognized by her alma mater as Entrepreneur of the Year and serves as an alumni board member for the College of Human Ecology. She served as the President of the Oklahoma Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics for many years and worked with the Oklahoma Eating Disorder Association as a pioneer in the field of eating disorders.
Carol also serves on the internship board at Oklahoma State University. What makes Carol's practice so unique is the care she takes to understand not only your food choices but also the emotion behind your choices. Food is the core of your health, but for many of her patients, driving factors such as anxiety, stress, depression, and many emotional/mental health issues guide those choices.

Services
If you struggle with your health, weight or what to eat, we can help. Patients come to us frustrated and feeling helpless about their health. They want to control their blood sugar, lower their cholesterol, or just feel a lot better - more energy, more alive. We start by finding out what is behind the food choices you make, what is driving you to get stuck in unhealthy habits.
Would you prefer not spending time or money to drive several hours to an appointment - this might include money you would spend on gas, meals or childcare. Would you prefer to stay in your home town or maybe even in your own kitchen to have your personal consultation with a licensed/registered dietitian?.
Your first appointment will generally last one hour, some are longer due to the complexity of issues being covered. We will be discussing your health history, your struggles and frustrations regarding your health and nutrition issues, your goals and how we can be most helpful to you. Your dietitian will evaluate and assess how to approach your specific nutrition and health concerns.

This place is a scam. They have tell you your insurance covers you when it really doesn’t and send you a bill . They act all nice but really they are not. What losers don’t waste your time. They prey on people who are too sick to even argue that what they did was wrong. Also the girl who was helping me on my one session left and didn't even tell me when my next appt was.

I have had gastric paresis for many years, but just recently started experiencing the stomach cramps and throwing up that is a couple of the symptons of this disease. My digestive disease doctor referred me to Bannister Nutrition and it was one of the best things that has happened to me concerning this disease. Autumn Sisneros was my contact and after the first visit and her sharing information, i started improving and after 4 weeks, I am pretty close to feeling normal again. She has done a great job of education me and giving me validation for what I have accomplished under her care.

I made an appointment with Banister Nutrition when I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. I knew that I needed to make diet and lifestyle changes but I did not know where to start. Carol guided me through making the changes that I needed to control my blood sugar and lose weight, without medications and to gain the confidence that I can make good nutritional choices to protect my health.

I have been visiting with Carol for about 2 years now. She has kept me accountable throughout my recovery journey and has offered help and solutions to every problem, where it be mental or food related. My mindset about food has made a 180 since the first time I stepped into the office. Now that I begin a new chapter of my life, I will always be grateful to Banister Nutrition for helping me turn my life around.

I have been working with Adrienne Hefner for about six months, and she has been extremely helpful. I so appreciate her knowledge, professionalism, compassion, clear head, and sense of humor. She always has great ideas about ways to make simple changes to my diet that have a big impact, but she also helps me to focus on other health issues that contribute to how I feel about myself in general. She always ends our session with "How can I help you reach your goals?" Adrienne has been a big help in overcoming bad habits brought on by a year of pandemic stress.

I love the fact that my nutritionist is helping me to stay on track to meet my goals. I feel like she is teaching me to be more aware of the things that are unhealthy for me so I can turn them around into better choices to maintaining a permanent lifestyle change that is good for me. If you are one of those people struggling to do it alone than I would definitely recommend Banister Nutrition to help you become a better healthier version of yourself. With the help of their knowledgeable staff and the encouragement I receive I feel I’m on a road full of success.

I am delighted to give a five-star rating to Banister Nutrition. Dealing with both my insurance and their billing is a breeze due to the condition I am afflicted with. It all started back in 2016 when I had a syndrome that caused my doctor to recommend BN. I went to Banister not knowing much about what they did but ended up very pleased with the staff and services they had to offer. I give many kudos to Lauren Northcutt, my dietitian since 2018. While she shares a wealth of knowledge, she never talks down to me. I can always count on her to be non-judgmental and maintain a constantly positive attitude
