Our mission is to provide a clean and inexpensive alternative power source for families all around. We can accomplish this by educating the community on solar power and the benefits of renewable energy. We believe that every home should have the chance to be independent of traditional power sources, and have a choice to opt out of rising utility costs.
New solar technology and a rising demand for solar power has helped to lower the cost of solar panels. Since 2011 the cost of solar panels has gone down 60%. Federal and State Governments are also providing tax credits and other incentives for families making the switch to solar energy. Solar Financing for your home has never been more affordable.
Let's face it, burning fossil fuels for power isn't going to last long. As these resources become more scarce, the price for these everyday conventional sources of power will go up as well. Your electric bill will rise up to 10% per year! Investing in solar power means investing in value of your home, your own source of power, and ultimately your future.
Brad at New Star Solar is an awesome person to work with! They are very knowledgeable about solar energy and helped me find the right solar array that fits my needs. Their prices were lower than the other companies that I've checked. I would highly recommend New Star Solar to anyone. The Power of the Sun - Harnessed on my roof!

After only 3 years our solar production has declined significantly. When we reached out to the company about their warranty on the panels they stopped communicating after the initial contact. We have called and emailed several times over the past two weeks without receiving a response. Avoid doing business with this company.

Our experience with New Star solar was generally good. The installation went well other than a hole in the bedroom wall, that New Star had repaired and repainted. The issue that we had was the long delay in getting the solar generating power into the grid from our system after the panels were installed. This was mostly due to Rocky Mountain Power and the city inspector not okaying our existing meter box, which had to be replaced by a local electrical contractor and paid for by New Star. Now we are finally generating energy from the panels.

My advice to anyone shopping for solar is get a second opinion! We ended up paying $24K and then getting tax incentives (2K, state; 7K federal) to make it about $15K out of pocket. Our initial estimate was from a real flashy company Solar One ($34K, for a smaller, over-designed system). We even had a third company Solaroo (who gave us a decent quote and said they would beat/match any other quote we got). We went with New Star Solar because we trusted them, by giving us an honest estimate of what we would need and how much it would cost and we had a great experience with New Star Solar. We have
