Chelmsford Animal Hospital
The Chelmsford Animal Hospital strives to provide quality medical care to small animal pets in the town of Chelmsford and surrounding areas. We are a resource center which helps to guide our clients to make decisions which will provide the best preventative care and/or treatments for their pet's needs.
Services
Chinese herbs have been used for centuries. It is tailored more to the individual animal and recognizes the whole body approach to healing. Chinese herbal medications can strengthen the animal's immune system, correct deficiencies in the body's organs such as the kidneys, liver, lungs and heart, and eliminate pathogens from the body.
Daily removal of plaque is the key to an oral hygiene program. Unless your pet's teeth are brushed daily, plaque, which is an accumulation of bacteria, will build up at the gum line. Eventually calculus forms, further irritating the gums, and then infection progresses to loosen and destroy the attachment of the tooth.
Chelmsford Animal Hospital is proud to offer MLS Laser Therapy as an effective, proven, pain free treatment option for our clients who want to ease their pet's pain and inflammation. This comfortable, safe therapy uses specific wavelengths of light that quickly reduce inflammation and swelling in tissues that are exposed to the laser.
As a veterinary hospital, we have higher standards and obligations to your pet(s) than some facilities. When your pet is in our care, we monitor and care for his/her needs as well as the basic needs. You can rest assured that your pet will be in the trained, caring and capable hands of our kennel technicians.
We would like to congratulate you on the acquisition of your new puppy. Owning a dog can be an extremely rewarding experience, but it is also a large responsibility. We hope this handout will give you the information needed to make some good decisions regarding your puppy. First, let us say that we are grateful that you have chosen us to help you with your puppy's health care.

I had to take my little dog in for a checkup because she was coughing and hacking and coughing for almost 3 weeks with no let up .. I was full of fear thinking the worst thinking that she may have cancer. she's also a 15-year-old terrier mix. They explained everything to me step by step what they were going to do to her and made sure that I understood everything that they were doing and what they were talking about. After I spoke to the doctors my anxiety lessoned tremendously. I guess what I'm trying to say is they really care because they know that your pet is your life ..your family.. your best

My cat has been on-and-off having urinary issues for the past month or so. After his symptoms worsened over the weekend, I called early Monday morning and they were able to get me in right away to get him looked at. I was worried that because bookings have been extending out, he wouldn't be able to get an appointment, but they were able to see him right away, which I'm really grateful for. The whole staff and the doctors are extremely wonderful to work with, and I can't thank them enough for their professionalism and assistance. Thank you, Chelmsford Animal Hospital!

Been taking my dog here since we moved 4 years now and had a good experience until this last visit. Chelmsford Vet Hospital would rather have a customer leave their practice losing hundreds potentially thousands of dollars over 9 dollars and something cents. When I was there for my dogs annual visit, I bought some more heartgard. Which I knew the one they gave me didn’t look right. I asked in question a couple of times and was told they go by weight. They didn’t bother Looking in her chart to see what her weight has been and what she had befor. Her weight is 24.8 which is in the middle of the

My geriatric dog was introduced to Dr. Meagan Merinder.....and we could not be any happier ! Willow is petrified of Doctor's... Dr. Merinder actually got down to Willow's level on the floor. She listened intently to the problems we have been encountering and offered comparable events happen ing with one of her own elderly dogs. She really seemed very interested in getting to know Willow. We left feeling really good,,.

Have been with Chelmsford Animal Hospital for years. The veterinarians are very good. Unfortunately I just had to go elsewhere as they have taken too many clients and are booked out almost 5 months for an annual exam and vaccinations. Best not to get into this office where you cannot get an annual exam for that long out. This happened without warning, I was always able to book an appointment within a few weeks max. Disappointing, it’s just mismanagement, or maybe not caring, when they can no longer offer care of long term existing clients because they took on too many. When it comes to our furry

My dog just had a cyst rupture an hour before closing. They found a way to fit her in, suggested two types of care and ultimately found the best one that works for my family. I cannot thank them enough for turning a bad situation into a manageable one.

I have been using Chelmsford Animal Hospital for a few years. As of late, they have:
1. Attempted to put a stop on my cats necessary medicated food because he hasn't been seen since his last shots. This would be fine except they said they don't have appointments for another 2 months and still wouldn't put in the food order until I called twice.
2. When I called to ask if my cat should be brought to an emergency appointment after ingesting medication, were extremely rude and transferred me to multiple receptionists who asked me the same questions without giving any answers. The answer they eventually
